The 800RB + Behringer idea would be an interim step to the 2001RPB. I could at least get a feel for what the GK Preamp + a power amp would sound like with minimal cost. I will more likely just use the 800RB as is (although a bit underpowered) until I finally pull the trigger on the 2001RB. The 800RB...

JackANSI,

I like the way you think! Maybe I could take the effect send from my 800RB (which is post EQ) to a Behringer EuroPower. That would give me the GK EQ/preamp section and a good power match to the Aguilar cab.

Would this work? Jason

I don't know all the details of GKs current biamp feature, but it is alot different than my 800RB. I think the answer to your question is yes. The 2001RB does have it... It looks like I might be selling my Eden WT-800B. Know anyone that might be interested before I post it in the for-sale section an...

The Aguilar GS412 is actually rated at 1200 watts, so the 2001RB bridged would be a good match. Do I need this much power? I won't answer that... but it is a good question! Anyway, I'm back with the Earthtones (reggae) here in SC, so a deep, watt-sucking thumping tone is what I'm after, and h...

Yeah, going with the 12s is a little out of character for me, but I've got a 5-day return option on the Aguilar, and free shipping on the purchase. Considering how far I'd have to drive to just try one of these out, I thought it was worth the cost to ship back if I don't like it. The Eden WT-800 has...

GK 2001RB

I've got an Aguilar GS412 cab on the way, and would like to hear it with the GK 2001RB. I've been using an Eden WT-800 for a little while now and it's just not working out. I still have and always liked my GK800RB, but it's a bit underpowered for the Aguilar cab, so I'm wondering if the GK2001 would...

Attn: Bass players - Epifani opinions

Anyone ever owned/used an Epifani cab? What did you think? I'm looking into 6x10s and I like the specs of the Epifani but have never used one. Other 6x10 I'm considering: Eden Mesa Boogie (PowerHouse, not RoadReady) I have the Eden WT-800, which makes the Eden 6x10 an obvious choice, but the Epifani...

I don't know what was scarier about the Grammys.. That the Black Eyed Peas won for "My Humps"... or that the Pussycat Dolls were nominated. http://smartor.is-root.com/images/smiles/icon_behead.gif Exactly why I don't care much about the Grammy's anymore... at least what gets televised. I ...

Thanks for the mention ToonaRockGuy, but I sure as hell don't deserve that comparison! Great thread though, and although I tend to go for a more hi-fi, slap-friendly sound, I recently popped Rush - Moving Pictures in the car CD player after having not listened to it for quite a while, and have been ...

I heard he eats magic beans! I have looked at his signature model, nothing overly fancy. For a Fender though, it has some nice touches: String-thru body 3 layer body (mohagany, walnut w/koa top) tweaked electronics (3 band / 18volt) dowel rod/graphite contraption in neck for stability (posiflex??) ...

I'm a bit disappointed. I thought his signature bass would give me special powers and I'd be able to play just like him. Hasn't happened yet!

To get back on topic... After a bout with two of the new double pickup Stingrays, I ended up getting a Victor Bailey Fender Jazz bass. The modified MIJ Jazz I've been playing will get the original fretless neck put back on now. I've played Musicmans in the past (and briefly owned a Stingray and Ster...

While I was in the band, ShockZone did a 45rpm with "Just a Game" as the A-side and I think "Critical Eyes" on the B-side. I should have one somewhere. What condition it's in is unknown. Getting that digitized is entirely possible (I still have a turntable), and I obviously have ...

Scott, I still have mine to! I bought it back in '85 (it was made in Feb '84), and although I don't play it anymore, I often lug it along to gigs as a backup. Mine has the removeable legrest. Later models had a legrest that recessed into the body. Which one does your have? I've thought of selling it...

If it's the P-bass I think it is, the whole electronics assembly and pickguard were changed out before I bought it. I was told the pickups and guts were Shecter (sp?) and the brushed gold pickguard was pretty cool also. That was my first Fender, and first "real" bass... Paul, Only mods wer...

Yeah, i didnt get to play with Jason though, :( I know he's on here, maybe he can fill in the blanks. I'm not too clear on the details, but Bobby's post helps a little... John McKnight and I were playing with the US Hotel House Band when, as Bobby says, "Jeff left to go on the road" ... a...
