Anyone ever owned/used an Epifani cab? What did you think? I'm looking into 6x10s and I like the specs of the Epifani but have never used one.
Other 6x10 I'm considering:
Eden
Mesa Boogie (PowerHouse, not RoadReady)
I have the Eden WT-800, which makes the Eden 6x10 an obvious choice, but the Epifani is lighter and seems a bit more popular to the TalkBass crowd.
Thanks, Jason

I once compared an Aguilar (4x10), Eden (2x10), and Epifani (1x12) all with the same preamp/power amp setup. Obviously, they were different speaker configurations, so that was a bit of a confounding variable. I used the same bass and the preamp I used is very transparent.
For the most part, I find that when you get to that level of cabinet, you're really moving sideways. Still, I did notice differences between the three. The Aguilar was by far the most aggressive. The Eden had the biggest bottom. The Epifani had the sweetest high end.
The Epi (which is actually Slink's) was a real quality cab and it was apparent from playing solo that it would sit really well in the mix. As I said, the high end was really nice. It wasn't harsh in the least bit nor did it add a lot of ugly finger noise. It would be a slapper's dream. I can't speak to the their 10s, but the 12 was a very nice and punchy speaker. I'd imagine the 10s would be a bit leaner overall but with more punch.
I don't think that you'll go wrong with any of the cabs, though the Eden and Epifani are going to be more similar. The Mesa is more of a "rock" cab. They have more grunt, but less detail than you're going to find with a hifi, flat response cab like the Eden or Epi. The Boogies just scream, "Drive me with a loud all-tube setup!" Mesas are also beast of cabs, but if you don't mind schelping something that big and heavy, they seriously put out the sound. Also, keep in mind that the Eden head may compliment an Eden cab better, since their enclosures are voiced for a low-mid bump. The Eden will be the most efficient cab too. A 6x10 will probably fill just about any venue around, and if it doesn't, it's probably a given that you're using FOH support anyways.

Yes sir, I heard about the Epifani's on Talk Bass myself, they really are a quality sounding cab. I use mine with a WT-550 and a Fender Jazz. I have a Ul 210 and 2- Ul 112's. I usually use a 112 and set the 210 on top of it and it is loud enough for the places I play. I use all 3 cabs for outside jobs.
I'm in Altoona, if you want to hear them live I'll be at the Newburg Friday April 25 10-1 or check them out in my garage.
I've never tried the epi 610 or the Eden 610 my guess is they are 2 different flavors of goodness.
