Band cuts an album borrowing music stores facilities/gear

In innovative collaboration between a music shop and a band with no cash that will help get an album made. The music shop is allowing the unsigned band to use the recording equipment for sale in the shop after hours. http://www.boingboing.net/2009/12/03/broke-ass-band-cuts.html Although I agree with...

What a great and interesting read! Thanks for that. :)

Also, I had heard the term Steampunk before, but didn't know what it meant. I looked it up, and that looks pretty intriguing as well. I may do a little more research into it. Looks interesting!

I've eaten there, and thought it was really good, if you like Mediterranean food. It's not cheap though...just FYI. They really fixed it up nicely, considering it was originally designed to be a strip club. (You can still see some of the design remnants...DJ booth, where the stage was, etc.) Oh...an...

It took me about an hour to get out of the parking lot also. :x

Rock on Cryssie! :D

I actually have the motorcycle permit booklet sitting on my kitchen table right now. I'll probably take the test later this summer. Although other motorists not seeing me or just being a-holes does scare me.

Coming from someone with "small hands," I started out on a full-scale bass and I'm glad I did. I actually use a 35" bass now too. So, I would suggest that he learn on a full scale from the beginning. A thinner neck may help him with being able to reach the frets better. Ibenez's necks...

Tim's American Cafe has the best wings. Honestly, that's the only thing I've ever eaten there, but I've heard nothing but good things about all of their food. Decent prices and big portions. Also, if you're looking for something different, The Phoenicia has great Mediterranean food. It can be a litt...

My paternal great-grandfather was a fiddle player as one of The Tweedy Brothers, which was a bluegrass band out of West Virginia in the 1920's. I've heard tales that he was good friends with "Grandpa" of Hee-Haw, and had been asked to play on the show, but that's just a family story that h...

Work full-time at PSU, so it's about a 2 hour commute for me each day; play 3 shows a month with Kitty Whip, and single mom to my 5-year-old daughter. I practice in the evenings after my daughter goes to bed. The rest of the KW crew have been very accommodating of my schedule. We have band practice ...
