THE PHOENECIAN
I'm not from Altoona so I don't know if this restaurant is good or not. The menu looks great. Is it worth it to make a little road trip to shove food in my face??? I know I can trust you buggers.
And if I spelled it wrong tough noogies. Or does that mean I'm not worthy to eat there?

I've eaten there, and thought it was really good, if you like Mediterranean food. It's not cheap though...just FYI. They really fixed it up nicely, considering it was originally designed to be a strip club. (You can still see some of the design remnants...DJ booth, where the stage was, etc.)
Oh...and just to bust on your noogies...it's Phoenicia

I thought the food was good. I'm biased though because I cook a lot of Medi/Middle Eastern style food and I couldn't help thinking that my stuff was a little better and yes it is way over-priced. But if you don't want to cook the stuff yourself I would say its the best place around (Athenian Cafe too) to try the authentic stuff. Classy atmosphere (its changed a lot since I stripped there).
Haven't eaten there since it was newly opened, what were you disppointed in faceoffmuzik? Maybe it got worse?

I liked the food when I first started going there. Sure, its a little more expensive, that wasn't the problem. The food took a downhill turn (in my opinion) from what it once was. I'm not gonna be specific, it just started to suck. Keep in mind I didn't eat in the restaurant, it was take out, and I almost always got the same thing.ZappasXWife wrote:Haven't eaten there since it was newly opened, what were you disppointed in faceoffmuzik? I gave it the benefit of the doubt and got food from there a few more times, it and those last few times it really sucked.
YMMV. Fuck it, give it a shot you might like it.
