Its different this time. The repubs have new nomination rules:
Any presidential primary, caucus, convention, or other meeting held for the purpose of selecting delegates to the national convention which occurs prior to the first day of April in the year in which the national convention is held, shall provide for the allocation of delegates on a proportional basis.
Beginning April 1, it goes back to winner-take-all. Until then, this is just a perpetual dog-and-pony show.
Also, South Carolina is to Georgia as New Hampshire is to Massachusetts. Romney cleaned house in NH, Gingrich was bound to do the same in SC. SC is the cradle of the war between the states and they aren't about to nominate a Yankee from Massachusetts.
