Dingwalls: Do you need crooked fingers to play these things?
So, do Dingwall players need to break their fingers before purchasing these basses?

Put your hand in front of your face with your fingers spread, pointing up and your palm facing you.bassist_25 wrote:So, do Dingwall players need to break their fingers before purchasing these basses?
Your fingers are not parallel to each other, they are naturally spread at roughly the same angles as the frets.

I do have a question about Dingwalls.......Novax has a patent on their 'fanned fret' system, but from what I understand, Dingwall's multi-scale system is different enough that they do not have to pay liscensing fees or whatever to Novax. How can that be?
