Heh, some people treat other people like furniture.
I'm really digging all the descriptions and names!
I grew up with and love puppy dogs, but I don't have one now.
Especially with living in town and having no yard, I couldn't subject a poor pooch to that.
We have 3 cats: Tiger, Chester and Tawny Willow Paw, or Tawny for short. (Tawny has 2 different color front paws. 1 is Tawny, from a favorite Little Golden Book I still have,

and 1 sort of reminds me of a Pussy Willow.) Tawny was abandoned and starving when a neighbor moved and left her and her mother behind. Nice, huh?
Terrified of humans, hunger got the better of her when I threw her food a piece at a time and then put a plate full in front of me. She was shaking with sheer fright as she walked up and started eating. Then, when I lightly petted her, she stopped shaking and began to purr.

The rest, as they say, is history. When a door to the outside is opened, she runs further in the house. Chester is actually Tawny's nephew, from a litter her adopted sister Patches had. (Before she was adopted, the sister would come visit, and I called her Jester due to her pretty much right down the middle, split color face.
My then 5 year old son thought of the name Chester, saying, "Well, we used to call his Mom Jester."

)
Tiger, Tawny and Chester are small, medium and large, in graduated sizes. Tiger is the eternal kitten, and likes to play fetch with just about anything. If he wants to play, he will simply bring you a toy or string. Chester has this black tail-like toy that he carries in his mouth and meows with at the same time. We LOL, and say he is walking and singing to his baby. All 3 are vocal, but Tawny really likes to "talk". The boys were neutered, Tawny, spayed. This is going back 5 years or so now, but for anyone living in Clearfield County, there was/is an organization called Orphans of The Storm and they helped to defray that cost. I thought I had the phone number of the person affiliated with it written in my book, but nope!
