THe whole hardcore metal thing there is a ton of energy there. I don't like grundge and why would I it killed my damn (stuck in the past) (hair metal )but the crowd decides my thread was targeted at bands picking on hair metal. As far as my non existant band Well The dude nailed me hes right !!! It takes alot of time and talent to pull off those covers as accurate as they do . As far as a male groupie thats got me cracking up !! Yngwie Racer X Van Halen , well maybe , I was simply tring to say that both these bands make me feel like I am watching a 80's rock band and make me want to play . I support all local bands and I bring boat loads of people with me to watch and spend money, but what i typed I sounded like an ass and I am sorry . One other note on another comment Poision. Bon Jovi they still sell out all the time and they put on a show thats all there is to it . As a matter of fact I will be seeing them with Ratt soon and i am excited, although I was hoping for Jake E Lee in ratt

Well, you are all right. Don't blame me for being a retard; it's just me. It was a horrible way to try and say something. Hair Force One and Scream are great! I was in no way trying to say that I was going to kick their asses. Jeez, those guys can play stuff that I can't, and I love that music. They are really talented musicians.

As far as my other comments - I agree that you should listen to what you love. There is a whole ton of energy with the hardcore metal thing. I don't like grunge and why would I? It killed my damn stuck-in-the-past hair metal. The crowd decided that my thread was targeted at bands picking on hair metal.

As far as my nonexistent band - Well, that gentleman nailed it; he is right. It takes a lot of effort and talent to pull off those covers as accurate as Hair Force One* and Scream* do. The male groupie comment has me cracking up. Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Racer X, and Van Halen: These are artists whom I am a fan of. I was simply saying that Hair Force One* and Scream* make me feel like I'm watching an 80s rock band, and they make me want to play. I support all local bands. I bring boatloads of people with me to watch and spend money. What I typed made me sound like an ass, and I am sorry.

On another note in regards to the comment about Poison and Bon Jovi - They still sell out all of the time and put on an excellent show. That's all there is to it. As a matter of fact, I will be seeing them** with Ratt soon and I am excited. I was hoping to see them with Jake E. Lee, though.

* I assume that these pronouns represent Hair Force One and Scream, because other proper nouns were introduced between these sentences.

** I was not sure if the poster was referring to Poison, Bon Jovi, or both bands with this pronoun.

You're welcome.
If plain and proper English is what you seek, I am the purveyor of such. You're welcome.

I've said it before and I will again, "There is music for everyone's taste and that's why there are so many bands, clubs, bars, styles and nights of a week, so we all have a place to go or to play."

I'd never go where anyone is working and make fun of what they do.
If you don't like one dish don't order it next time. That doesn't make the whole resturant suck!
I can except anything thats good by giving it a chance. (Kinda like asparagus....LOL)

There vocalists can actually sing and if your drummer thinks he is also god tell him to listen to king diamond pantera dream theather and judas priest painkiller !!!! Hair Bands Rule

Post by metalchurch »

Seems as though alot more bands are listing the 80's Metal as being influential to their music. Or, atleast there are just more people admitting it. Me and Don , were talking a while ago about the '20 year cycle' in music. and now it's time for the 80's to come back to life. Most genres of music start out great until the record companies over expose us to it and then the whole scene explodes and goes up in flames, then we're onto another new trend, if you could call it that? It's so weird that in the mid-late 90's it seemed unfashionable for guitar player to play a solo or show off their skills, which, by no means is that a necessity for every song, but it just killed off all of the progress that has been made in the 80's and 90's. Would have been nice to see what level things would have gone to as far as guitar playing goes. I always wonder what it would have been like if Rhoads wouldn't have died, and Van Halen wouldn't have 'Jumped' in 1984. There were however, some great moments in Rock 'n Roll, and Metal that can never be taken away. There's so many great Artists, Songs, and Albums, that were revolutionary in molding and shaping music as we know it today. Ignore the image and the cookie cutter approach that infected the scene back then and listen to the music for what it was. Same goes for any decade, and genre.

I will when I see him. We've been having trouble getting him on board. He's a bit of recluse since that hotel incident with the Moroccan tennis player. Thats probably why he's not returning your calls. If he doesnt make the tour, we have Vanilla Ice tentatively scheduled as a replacement. Superstars...

Don, what about FedUp's plans on reinventing themselves as a Hanson tribute band...oops, or was that suppose to be a surprise?

Well it wasnt exactly a suprise, but we were just trying to keep it low key for now. But since the cat's out of the bag, everybody should look for our first single "Umm Fuk" in about a month or so.
