My oldest son is 22, lives in another county, works full-time and is self-sufficient. My daughter is 18 and within 2 months will finish her fresman year of college. My youngest son is 9 going on 25. Trucula, I can SO relate on the technological level!

The DVD/VCR in the livingroom broke, so they'll bring it down and play DVDs via the PlayStation...I've no idea how! In the last few years I've said to them if I'd one day woke up at their age and had their lives, I'd have thought I'd died and gone to Heaven. My youngest wants a cell, because "everybody has one." I tell him "dream on, dream on, dream on!"

My oldest was a good kid. I never had to ask, let alone tell him to help around the house or outside. The other two, if I don't do it, it doesn't get done.

I said to my daughter to make certain she does well in college and gets a good paying job. A cook or eating out all the time, and paying for everything you need done around the house can't be cheap!
