No, you are just contradicting yourself each time you hit a letter on your keyboard. TYPE SLOWERDirtySanchez wrote:As far as what you care, really matters none.
The cops not caring about a couple thousand dollar machine I worked my ass off to get that was stolen(theft is against the law) is exactly the point, hence the Dumbass remark. You think you are arguing as you are agreeing with me. READ SLOWER.

P.S. Contradicting means that you are saying something, then disagreeing or making an opposing statement in the next sentance. Just in case you didnt know.bassist4life2004 wrote:No, you are just contradicting yourself each time you hit a letter on your keyboard. Seeing how you like to cut and paste, cut and paste my contradictions.
I see none. My point all along is the cops don't care, they are undertrained
and powertripping, and I don't depend on them. I was not bitching about my ATV being stolen. I was bitching about what was done by the police.
They are who you're supposed to rely on when something is stolen from your home right? Or should I call batman or something?

I said I've never gotten a speeding ticket in altoona, not that I was speeding and didn't get pulled over.MeYatch wrote:I've never gotten a speeding ticket or a moving violation of any kind in altoona. I've never seen a speed trap or anything of the sort.
I think you need to stop and think that being a cop is not a life choice, its a job. I've met a lot of altoona police officers, and without exception they have been great guys (and some gals). They deserve their pursuit of life liberty and happiness as much as anyone else. And its silly for you to insinuate that going deep undercover and busting drug dealers is their responsibilty. I seriously doubt thats in the job description when someone applies. Its unfortunate that they didn't recover your ATV, but you did it yourself. Cops work within the system, the scumbags have more rights than they do. If they had had time to do it, they probably would have recovered it, an ATV isn't exactly small. Sounds like it only took you a few days. If you'd like to think for a second about the whole topic of the thread, you might realize that your stolen ATV might not be the number one priority of the understaffed altoona police department.
Stand back, I like to rock out.

Dude, i hang out around enough cops to know that they do care. When some little boy and his mother get killed by some scumbag that shouldn't have even been where he was, the cops showed up and hauled his ass off. When 3 people got shot in the UVA, the cops showed up. Illegal bullshit happens in that town every day, and the cops do what they can to take care of it. They are undertrained? I bet you couldnt chase down a drug dealer for 9 city blocks while hes firing shots back at you, could you? I know i would get winded after one block. Try doing what they do on a daily basis, no, better yet, do a ride along during a weekend one summer and see what really goes on. The reason you dont see it is because the cops keep it wrapped up so that you dont have to, isnt that a great benefit to having an adept police force? I sure as hell know i would rather, in my town have 3 altoona cops as opposed to the 10 town cops, simply because they are much better trained.
And as for not depending on them, yea, i wouldnt depend on them to find my stolen ATV, but i sure as hell depend on them to keep me from getting gunned down on the street, and so far they have done their job. Random acts of violence get out of control, and someone does get shot every now and then, but it doesnt happen as often as it could if the cops didnt squash most of it before it went down
I assume you don't actually know any cops? Some cops are dicks. Some telemarketers are dicks. Some pizza delivery guys are dicks. Some people are dicks. I've been pulled over, it sucks. Its easy to call the cop an asshole, but its stupid.
If your neighbor hires me to survey his property, and your shed is over the property line, am I a dick for pointing it out? I'm just doing my job, so are the policemen.

Meyatch I know what you're saying.
I never suggested Altoona police should do this.
Look at my sentence, it says the "cops".
Murders and Major drug busts do not happen here every day.
Two days after taking a report over the phone they still never stopped by my house to look at the chain that had been cut or anything. I think we all agree that it's out of control and unless you live in this town and have needed help from the police force your comments mean nothing. Maybe Northern Cambria cops are like the Fuckin Mounties. I don't know. It's just sad that shit like this (shooting) happens. Unless it's two Drug dealers shooting at each other with nobody else around. In that case fire away boys.

They sure as hell protected me when i almost got jumped by 8 guys outside of the pool hall down here one night, back when i was 15. 3 of the guys were carrying switch-blades, the cops showed up, took the guys in, and drove me back to my house. They don't serve and protect? I dont see you trying to better or protect your community.
Nothing personal rob, i had to comment on that. dont think less of me for it.

If I call the cops and they don't help they are dicks.
If the pizza delivery guy doesn't deliver he too, is a dick.
All telemarketers are Dicks, I manage an office full of them.
I know Logan township, Altoona cops, And State Troopers.
They all Know how I feel. Some even agree that more should be done.
I am not specifically calling them as a person names. By police, cops, whatever, I am talking about the quality of Law enforcement in general.
I also know it has a lot to do with what Ken said, that criminals have more rights than police, they should be allowed to use force and also judge how much force to use.

word. Getting back to the topic at hand, there's just not much that can be done preventatively in cases like this, not by the police at least. You can't control what every lowlife in the city (city limits is actually in logan township) is going to do. Who knows if that guy even had a gun on him in the bar? He could have had the gun in his vehicle in the parking lot. All the metal detectors in the world can't do anything about that. I'd be interested in hearing more about what went down there.
Stand back, I like to rock out.

Sounds to me like it was in his car, those NY boys are used to getting searched before going into clubs. I still say the welfare system needs to stop assisting these outsiders. It's like a mini Ellis Island sprouted up in the pond at Lakemont Park or something man.

I agree!DirtySanchez wrote: My solution, Carry your own weapon, and learn how to shoot it.
That way when one of these parasites cracks a haphazard round off, drop the fucker where he stands.
Also choose your weapon carefully, someone breaks in your house you want him down and dead without a big mess. so don't use a shoutgun

ABSOLUTELY!! 3 words...Dime-Bag-Darrel!! I played the very next night @ City with Hair Force One (Im their new keyboardist) and we lucked out and were not affected too much by Friday's unfortunate incident crowd-wise. Some people need to grow-the fuck-up in a hurry!!Jim Price wrote:According to the Mirror story, it happened early Saturday morning.
I know it has been discussed on here before, but I would have no problem with local venues starting to use metal detectors and wands. It would be an inconvenience, but sadly, it's the times we live in.
...there's my 2 cents lol!
HAIR FORCE ONE ROCKS!!

ANYWAY....i cant believe i missed this!
Back in MD, my uncle is a cop. He is a total asshole and been accused of lots of shit. I was pulled over once there, and nothing happened. it was him, we shot the shit, and i was on my way. another time, i was pulled over NOT by him and i was tripping on mushrooms. My exhaust was loud...thats why he pulled me over...and it was late. I was arrested. My uncle was one of the cops called to the scene. The arresting officer started pushing me, in which i pushed back. NOT A GOOD IDEA. anyway, in cuffs i sat in the back of a patrol car praying to God to get out of that. Insanely, a cop opened the door and told me that they were not taking me to jail because it was my first time being arrested, and the jail was 30 mins away, and id get out on PR anyway. HAHAHA. They took my picture and i filled out paperwork. He told me it was "Just like going to jail". HAHA whatever, sir.
It was a small town and the cops knew everyone by first name. Most of them abused their power.
There ARE cool cops...i havent met any though.

Many cops are professional and take doing a good job very seriously. Many cops are donut eating assholes on a power trip.
Unfortunatley, my father was involved with the latter after a gig who thought that he was some guy who punched another guy...despite the fact that he was walking away from the direction in which the real perp was headed.

THAT is exactly the entire problem here folks! The effin government is encouraging this sort of behavior.DirtySanchez wrote:We have to somehow stop the influx of all these NYC, Jersey, Philly, ineer city assholes from coming into the area. They are all fucking ex-rehab douchebags that see how much opportunity there is selling drugs around here. The problem is it's easier for these people to get assistance such as housing, medical, food, money, hell they even give them a down payment for a car. It's easier for an outsider ,that's a total fucking bum to get help from our local Government than it is for someone who has lived and worked here their whole life and fell on hard times.
Hell....in Lewistown....well....you just wouldn't believe the number of imports showing up here! All on welfare....or shacked up with some stupid, fat white biyatch on welfare..... both too lazy to work....and more than likely with a bunch of illegitimate kids that we are also supporting....
Bottom line....if you see something suspicious....take notes....descriptions...time of day.....address....license number....anything that may help.....and call the police!
We have friends in the local force....and in most cases....they have told us that they are just trying to build enough of a file to start an investigation....
And if you are on welfare....you need to be drug tested(and tossed out if you are positive)....and you need to do something, even it it's picking up garbage from the side of the road....AND you need to be visited AT NIGHT (that would sure clean out the squatters in a hurry!),by the people giving you all this money and benefits.....that the rest of us work hard for!
Ok....rant is over...back to our regularly scheduled program......
