Do you think it is exactly what they (General Public) want? I think the reason this was so successful is that a bunch of musos were doing what they love to do along with a buch of other 'like minded' people (other musicians).songsmith wrote:They would absolutely LOVE to host a jam like this, it's exactly what they want.
I have a feeling that the general public wouldn't see it the same way. The first Rockpage Benefit was successful because it was a clear cut jam session and all the musicians paid to be there. Take a close look at what it was and why it was a success.
I hate to be the bad guy here, but I would HIGHLY suggest that we take the suggestion that has been made here several times and keep it simple.
At this point it is a lot of fun for everyone. As soon as people have to start working to drag people in (non-musicians) it will not be fun anymore.
Yes I know there were some non-musicians there, but was was the ration, 10 to 1 or more?
It would be a shame to try to force something that turned out so well into a big headache and dissapointment. Keep it small and focused for now and it will grow naturally.
