the word 'badonkadonk' and 'britches' in the same song....

Post by HIMfag666 »

now i've never been much of a fan of country music, but i thought it was obsurd when garth brooks went rock n roll, but i have recently caught on to something much much much more rediculous. Trace Adkins song "honky tonk badonkadonk". if you havent heard this yet, download it. its not just the fact that a country singer would stoop so low as to do a rap song, but the fact that famous people are so caught up in making money that they already have enough of that they would do something so stupid as to make a country/rap song just to sell more records. i think Trace Adkins has just topped the "ultimate sell outs" list.

Ebonics is one of the most sad things that has happened to the English language. I cringe whenever I hear a middle-class caucasion utter such filth from his mouth so as he may sound as if he were from the ghetto. I blame MTV for this blatant buthering of the English language. Children are wasting away in front of the television instead of reading the literary classics of Faulkner, Hemmingway, and Poe. If they would like to experience quality rhymes, I would introduce them to the poetic artistry of Emily Dickens; she truly is "dope". Dope is what the children say these days, correct? I don't understand why someone would use colloquial slang that references illicit substances to convey a feeling of appreciation. The thing that makes me feel the most indignant is the fact that many politically-correct people want to introduce ebonics into the English programs of public schools. Any respect for grammatical excellence seems to have vanished.

You know, back in the day before coherent speech, and sentence structure.. ancient tribes in africa, used to communicate through a series of grunts and bodily motions. Yeah - they would slap their stomachs if they wanted to grab each others attention and then slap the females if they wanted sexual favors done for them.. an archaeologist and a historian once told me ancient tribes would do this..

Slap stomach. Knee slap. Lap slap. forehead slap. forearm one, forearm two. Left ankle. Right ankle. Stomp into ground. Spinkick, cheek slap. Grab a female tribe member's ass. Chest smack. Stand still.

and it translates to..

"Attention: I have a story to tell. All the lady apes ran away from King Kong. For his dong was exceptionally long.. But a friendly giraffe "quaffed" his yard and a half, and ecstatically burst into song."

so yeah.. speech before coherent sentences and words was still quite humorous i think.

by the way.. has anyone seen my mailbag?

I don't care for that song to much .. I also don't like the video. I think it is to "Racy". That is not a good video to have on tv, especially with more and more kids watching country music videos. If you look at it, country has been going for the "Racy" card a lot lately. They're starting to look like mtv videos. Then all the new country really is is pop with a steel guitar and violin, so, you probably could get away with playing a country video on mtv. When mtv actually shows videos that is ...

i agree that ebonics has ruined the english language. the funny thing is that it is the "cool" thing to do these days. dont this kids realize that they sound like illiterate jackasses?

I love that song!!! I think it is funny as hell. And, as for the video - if you don't like it, you might want to check your sexuality!! :D

Seriously, the first time I saw the video I thought Trace was making fun of all the rap videos - do you see the rings he is wearing on his hands! It is a riot. (plus the babes are very easy to watch).

I don't think of it as a sell out at all. I personally think Country music is the only genre right now that is doing anything fun. Every other style of muisc is stale to me. At least country keeps doing new stuff, and getting a bigger and bigger fan base all the time.

I agree with you 100% on this. I think at times they makeit to far .. I didn't say I don't like country music, on the contrary I like it a lot. I listen to it more than anything right now ..
