That's one of the best remakes that I've ever heard. I really like how it "trainwrecks" at the end, going faster and faster. Matt Sorum's drum sound in the beginning is what makes that song, in my opinion.

Obscure but one of my favorites...

Gonna Get Close to You originally done by Lisa Dal Bello (or Dalbello) in 1984 and then redone by Queensryche in 1986.

There was a thread to this same theme late last year, and I believe that JP mentioned this one. Nice work!!

How about Queensryche's rendition of Scarborough Fair (Simon and Garfunkel)?

"Late in the Evening" - Sweet Meat

Originally done by Paul Simon.

Thanks Bert...I kept forgetting to Post this. IMHO, it is the best remake of a tune I've heard in a long time, live or on their CD, which I wish I could get a copy of.
It has great originals on it, too.

Two of my favorite guitarists of all time, just covered:

"I Put a Spell On You"

on the new Buddy Guy cd and Carlos Santana plays also. I think that is the first time Carlos and Buddy have ever recoreded toghether.

BTW, Kirk Hammett plays on Carlos Santana's new cd, just out.
