Anyone recall the "Goth" sketch from SNL? A frickin' RIOT! The dude's name was "Azriel Abyss" and I can't remember Molly Shannon's name - but as soon as I thought of some of the sketches, I LOL!

The Cure, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, Manson, Autumn Tears, Front 242, Nine Inch Nails, Nosferatu, Project Pitchfork, Digital Factor are some examples of Goth.

It's not necessarily the sound, it's the music as a whole. Deep, dark, lamenting, emotional, whiny, like a darker grunge.

Like grunge with horrible makeup.

It's just rather disturbing, really. At least to me. I don't get it. But I do dig some of the goth music. It can be great when you're in the right mood.

South Park rules. I can't say I "hate" something that has provided such great fodder for comedians and comedy artists...I can't say I hate anything in Musical Genres, actually...it all contributes something, in the end. Alice and Rob Zomibie aren't "Goth" to me...if they are, "oh well"! I just love "Super Beast"...everybody does "Dragula", but whaddya gonna do? I'd never do as SOME do, basically request that bands learn songs just for them...just WHO the F do they think they are, any way? (My personal pick for a Bowie song I'd like to hear "out" again would be "Sufferagette City"...now THAT is a rocking Bowie tune. A band I went to see many years ago, named "Section 8" used to do it and it rocked the place!)

Yea, that was funny...I liked when the brother or whatever would come in the room and say things like "We're supposed to meet Mom at the Olive Garden" (I worked there at the time so it was extra funny), and they would get all embarrassed that they had a normal life like everyone else after all.
Does anyone remember the other sketch where they used to say, 'everyone knows the hostesses at the OliveGarden are all whores, them with their hot fresh breadsticks....' We used to say this at work all the time.

I'll be at Peter C's tonight, Victory Lanes tomorrow and it's a quandry for me, I haven't seen/heard the Banditos in far too long, but I'd already planned on The Grimm and The Flame Sky for Saturday. The brother would also come in and beat him up, LOL! I don't remember the Olive Garden reference in a sketch, but mmmmm, I love the Olive Garden's Soup, Salad and Breadsticks, anytime, not just for lunch. Their Sangria is to DIE for and the Chocolate Lasagna, too!
Although, I usually get the Dessert "to go". I think it's time for my friend Kathy and I to make one of our visits to the Olive Garden...Bless her heart, she is the one who introduced me to that wonderful place in 2003!

I was there all night and while I admit I did LOL more than danced on that particular evening, I did indeed, dance to "I Know A Little", one of my favs...and SEVERAL other tunes and I was still there for the last song - was it "Melissa", or was it actually "We Are Family"...
