As far as I know, NS, there are no goth bands in town at all, at least none that are playing out. Probably have to go to Pittsburgh or Harrisburg for that scene.

NS, I hope the site that picture came from is your own and you didn't hotlink it off someone elses site. Stealing bandwith is a big no-no.

Well I wasn't gonna say anything about the obvious botched makeup job. but since ya mentioned it....

His lipstick also looks like it was put on by a toddler. Maybe he took hair and makeup lessons from Bozo the clown.

hahaha goth girls will fxck you in ways you couldnt even imagine. although it gets kinda freaky though when you're changing positions - well you think you're changing positions and she's only getting up to bit the head off of a live dog - and set it on your chest.. that's usually when i lean down for my pants...

I never thought that the Cure was a Goth band. I always thought they were New Wave/Alternative. So, I guess my question would be what makes a Goth band a Goth band? No one else other than Smith wears make-up like that, but some of the Cure-boys do have the messed up hair look.

Also, I read an article on the Cure quite some time ago and they all use vintage gear, especially Simon Gallup (bassist). It was some very interesting reading.

Robert Smith is prettty good. I don't think dissing him would be right. He has been around for 20+ years, so he has to be doing something right.

As for goth girls, I used to work with one. And let me tell you, if I wasn't married I would have been all over her lol .. She was sooooooooo cute ..

Speaking of goth girls has anyone seen abby on NCIS ?? man, she look better and better each time I see her lol ..

In this crazy world anyone seems to be sucessful, especially with a gimmick and publicity.

But what about TASTE?

Pride in being a MAN?

Boy George was outrageously sucessful, but do we need posers like him in Altoona??

Thank you, Joe. Being commercially successful means jack squat where talent is concerned. SHEER LUCK has had a lot more to do with it. The Cure? They have a few tunes I like, but that's about it. Same with KISS. I know I'll hear all kinds of crap, but I never saw the big whoop with KISS. Btw Joe, did you realize all this time that underneath my clothes I'm actually a man? Yep, no surrender has me "all figured out"!

I thought Goth was a look and not a sound.

OK, I give up...what is the Goth sound?

The Cure, Bauhaus, Depeche Mode, Manson, Autumn Tears, Front 242, Nine Inch Nails, Nosferatu, Project Pitchfork, Digital Factor are some examples of Goth.

It's not necessarily the sound, it's the music as a whole. Deep, dark, lamenting, emotional, whiny, like a darker grunge.

Like grunge with horrible makeup.

Like grunge with horrible makeup, and some of them think they are vampires.

It's just rather disturbing, really. At least to me. I don't get it. But I do dig some of the goth music. It can be great when you're in the right mood.
