They will still blame Bush. That is going to be their agenda this year. "A mess so bad that it couldn't be cleaned up in one term." They will also be blaming Bush in 2016 and 2020. Hell they will probably still be blaming him in 2024.
How long would you give a man to undo a depression ?
Depression?

We have a higher unemployment rate than when Bush was in office.
We are further in debt than when Bush was in office.
We have double the gas prices than when BUsh was in office.
We have a higher number of people on foodstamps than when Bush was in office.
We have a higher number of people on welfare than when Bush was in office.

Yeah, depression my ass. It is worse now than it was when Bush was in office. If anything, this is Obama's depression. He only made things worse. Then since he is liberal, all you other libs say the economy is booming. If there was a republican President in there right now, you would be saying completely the opposite of what you say now.

Recent polls:

-> 84% of Americans say they are no better off than they were for years ago.
-> 61% say the country is going in the wrong direction.

Yeah, I did. I held a gun to Kevin's head and told him I was gonna force him to listen to the Motor City Lameman till he clicked on this thread. Does that answer your question?

Recession

Post by tornandfrayed »

The recession kicked me in the ass the other day when I tried to go out to eat. All those fucking unemployed people are filling the damn restaurants! Wish they had jobs so the restaurants would empty out!

A 95 minute wait for the honor of paying $100 plus for a dinner for 5 at Longhorn just has to end! Get these poor people back to work!

Actually, despite the fact that the thread was started by nosurrender, I thought that maybe, just maybe, there might be some second amendment conversation here, or at least conversation about the topic at hand, Ted Nugent's comments. Not the same old tired ass political bullshit that goes on in the political thread that you guys have and I stay the hell away from. This thread has turned into the same "Obama sucks" "No, Obama rules" crap. I'm about done with Rockpage, it's really completely devolved from what it was intended to be. I remember Ron's vision for this site, and this bullshit sure as fuck ain't it. I'm out.

Hey! Didn't I mention that there was another thread for this stuff?

Comments on Nuge's crazy statements apply here, but if ya wanna take it beyond that, take it to the political thread. Everybody will be happy.

Yep, Zimmerman was arrested, had his prelim, and a bail was set. Time to let the justice system do it's job.

Jim, Please lock this thread.

It's funny how politics make people turn around and go to the opposite argument about the same shit they were arguing for/against when the other guy was in office.....cracks me up.

So typical of the right on here. NO rebuttal, no substance, just rhetoric, no surprise.
I'm gonna be typical again..."whatever" Bill. You're typical of the left, what's the difference? You have your thoughts,I have mine. We'll never agree,so what. I'm just saying/asking who you gonna blame if he gets re-elected and shit gets worse? Gonna blame Bush again? I didn't know every post has to be up to your standards. I may not be the most "in tune" dude with politics, but what I do know is I served my country in the United States Marine Corps. and take great pride in saying that. The last thing I want to see is this great country fall because of Obama and his fucking lies and bull shit. You may worship the ground he walks on,I don't. I gave him the chance when he took office,he proved that he's not a leader. Think what ya what, copy paste what ya want...you won't change my mind about the way I feel about him or the left. Have a nice fucking day-somewhere else.
I pointed out facts and showed where you were wrong. Yet you choose to ignore the facts in order to hang on to your "blame Obama" attitude regardless. Could you please explain why that is, as you ARE typical of the right wing.

The economy IS GREAT if you are the top %. They are making record profits. RECORD PROFITS ! If THEY paid a decent wage the economy for the rest of us would / could be great too. How is that Obama's fault ? You blamed Obama for gas prices and I pointed out that oil production is increased (higher than the Bush era) yet refineries simply sell of the excess to foreign countries. Obama has NO control over that. So exactly what is it that you see that Obama has failed ?

Frank, Again, the economy is GREAT if you're in the top % ! remember ? They are making RECORD PROFITS. Again, is they paid decent wages and created jobs (we've been told that is what they would do if we gave them tax breaks !) the economy would be repaired. How is that Obama's fault that the top % are so un-American ?

How much of the increase in debt is Obama paying of Bush's bills ? Wars, tax cuts to the rich, deals with the drug companies etc. etc. etc..

There, that answers your first three "faults" with facts.

And yet again, oil production has INCREASED under Obama, the refineries set the price. The refineries are selling record amounts to foreign countries. Just more FACTS that don't get reported by the right wing media.

Why is any of that Obama's fault ?

So yes again Frank. Bush left office with the economy in a near depression. How long would you give one man to get us out of a near depression ?
Why is it that you are so good a rhetoric yet you regurlalry avoid simple questions that require you to think on your own ?

Yeah, this has reverted to another political argument thread, so lock time has arrived, I guess.

On a brighter note, Ron has informed me that an upgrade to Rockpage will be happening soon, with some improvements that should satisfy those displeased with the political bickering crap. According to what Ron initially described, it appears that everyone will be able to tailor their own Rockpage experience once the upgrade is complete. And for those not wanting to deal with the political bickering threads and those who perpetrate them, I have two words of hope for you: Can you say "IGNORE BUTTON?"

So stay patient and hopeful, relief will soon be on the way for this website.
