I should have specified, musicians you've heard play, either recorded or live, and created a separate category for composers / musicians who you haven't heard play, but know their works. Does that make sense ?

Today's pop composers/musicians are comparable to the pre-classic era minstrels before 1600. Maybe some exposed rocks in Cleveland, near the RRHOF would be more appropriate.Hawk wrote:I should have specified, musicians you've heard play, either recorded or live, and created a separate category for composers / musicians who you haven't heard play, but know their works. Ah. That changes things a bit. In that case...Hawk wrote:I should have specified, musicians you've heard play, either recorded or live, and created a separate category for composers / musicians who you haven't heard play, but know their works.
Modern musicians I've actually heard:
John Petrucci
Eric Clapton
Mikael Åkerfeldt
Geddy Lifepeart (Facial composite of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart)
Musicians who are no longer above ground:
Ludwig van Beethoven
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Frederic Chopin
Johann Sebastian Bach, Sr.
