Right back at ya when you imply that libertarians are racists, poisoners of children and want everyone addicted to hard drugs. I would feel sorry, but I realize you are incapable of rational thought. Maybe your beloved Obamacare could help you get some counseling. You know quite a lot about being lower than a snake. You lead by example.
I don't want to repeal civil rights laws especially in the private sector. Do you ?
Do you believe a privately owned restaurant chain should have the right to keep out Blacks or Jews ? I don't.
I don't want hard drugs made readily and legally available. Do you ?
I argued I wanted cap and trade to reduce emissions especially mercury. Didn't you argue that cap and trade would hurt the coal industry (money) and therefore you were against it ?
Libertarian Rand Paul says the private sector should be allowed to do as they want, including removing all safety laws from mining operations. I disagree with Rand Paul. Do you agree with Rand Paul on this subject ?
Since you cannot answer a simple yes / no question reflects strongly that your answers are yes ?
And if they are yes then you are exactly what I say you are.
Given that the Nazis are most noted for racial discrimination you seem to fit the profile. I am not actually insulting you relative to calling you a supporter of race discrimination, I'm telling it as Libertarians describe what they want. Answer "no" to my questions and prove me wrong.

The former makes a calculated estimate of product improvement potential based on its maturity and its adaptability to new technology.
Mature mechanical and electrical products have very little improvement potential, so any improvement will be incremental as opposed to "breakthrough". Incremental product improvements result in minimal or no savings in manufacturing costs, because sometimes an improvement is just an improvement, or "imp" as we call it in the industry.
Its amazing how some people just cannot grasp this concept.
How are you gonna adapt new groundbreaking technology to a gear, a magnet, a shaft, et. al.?
Do you even think that companies even bother to spend R&D money to save 10 cents on a $10 shaft or gear? The 1st thing we do when looking at product improvement is identify the cost drivers and concentrate on the biggest ones. One look at a windmill parts list and its evident that the only significant cost driver for a windmill is SIZE. Not much you can do about that.

You may think your union hasn't done anything for you. That's because it's already been done. You make a decent wage and benefits. If the private prison guards (currently) make as much as you it's because the union set the standard. That will be gone. The standard will be minimum wage.
Now you want to vote to take your job away? Give it to the private sector and give it to minimum wage earners? Joe and Jeff will tell you that YOU are big government. Be carefull what you wish for...and who you vote for.

Sorry, I should say so called "environmentalist" liberals. So now you are telling me there's technology to improve the light bulb, but there's no technology for storing nuclear materials? And, you sure sound like a Republican with your terrorism scare tactics Bill!Hawk wrote:Sorry, but you can't lump all liberals together on this one.RobTheDrummer wrote:There have been technological improvements in energy gathering. I added to that post....I never, ever said its against the constitution to build roads. It is enumerated and justified with several clauses. General Welfare is not one of them.Hawk wrote:And if technology requires less power, the wind and the sun may be enough some day.lonewolf wrote:"The former makes a calculated estimate of product improvement potential based on its maturity and its adaptability to new technology."Hawk wrote: No room for improvement. And no, If I knew Henry Ford, I would more likely point to a gear on the production line and tell him, "you know, you could cut the cost of that gear and improve its strength if you were to forge it instead of machine it"
Know everything? No, that's Johnny. I just know a hell of a lot more than the typical liberal.
Saying that I don't know the cost savings potential of the simple electromechanical parts in an extremely simple windmill device is like saying that you don't know what A 440 is.

So off this topic, on to another. Obama can go into other countries and kill terrorists without any repercussion from the left at all. People who are so called against the death penalty, don't say a word about it. However, if it were a republican in office, you wouldn't stop hearing about it....is there a double standard? Discuss....

I'm not sure what you are referring to. Obama never went into other countries and killed terrorists.RobTheDrummer wrote:So off this topic, on to another. In all seriousness, I thought that Obama handled the Libya situation very well, considering the political pressure from both sides. It should be a text book example for US policy on modern anti-terror methods. I seriously don't believe that it was his idea though, lol.
I think our cold-war mentality interventionalist policy should be abandoned and a high-tech, 21st century policy should replace it. More information and less heavy hardware. We don't always know who the enemy is anymore. You cannot fight what you cannot see.

It is no doubt that there is a double standard. It has always been that way, and it always will be. It happens on both sides of the fence.RobTheDrummer wrote:So off this topic, on to another. Bill, how often do you beat your dog?
Don't like that question? Its the exact type question you ask, and I will never answer your false questions.
How about this one...
Why do you like it when socialist governments lead to communism and Nazism?
Come on Bill. Answer.
Would you prefer your socialist government to lean more towards the USSR communism or Nazism?
Which one Bill? Come on answer, or are you chicken?

We do not have a socialist government. We have a democratic republic with social programs.
We are not in any way headed to communism dictatorship form of government. As long as we are democratic and VOTE it ain't gonna happen...ever. Do you really think that if there was a free voting society in China or Russia or the former Soviet union they would have been led the way they were ?
How many elections were there in Germany after Hitler came to power ? The governments you speak of are governments led by dictators. Not free to vote societies.
I prefer our capitalistic society support a democratic republic led government that supports necessary social and environmental programs that reflect our societal needs.
Now chickenjoe, the question ball is back in your court. And no surprise that you danced again. What are you afraid of ? Are your ideals so flawed that you are afraid to stand up for what you believe ?

Question 2. I don't.
Question 3. Neither. And we don't have a socialist Marxist government. We have a democratic republic.

2. You're implying I like / support something I neither like nor do I support. Therefore my answer is appropriate. Unlike you. You may not like race discrimination, yet you would support it in the private sector. A FLAW in your ideals.
3. My government is not socialist therefore I like it the way it is now. It need not lean at all. Not wanting it to lean in the choices you gave leads to a non-answer. It would be as though you ask does 1 + 1 = 3 or 4 ? Given your choices the correct answer IS neither. If you don't want race discrimination to happen, just say so. And admit the flaw in Libertarianism. OR admit you want race discrimination. I don't see any other possibilities for answers.

I've been away in Buffalo this week doing job training. I'm home for a few days, then Buffalo for a weel and Rochester for a week.
anyways...
With the extra time in the hotel room, I was able to watch the latest Republican debate. If these debates keep degrading into these "talking over each other" sessions, regardless of who is right and wrong, it's only going to look silly in the eyes of the regular people, the TRUE 99%. Most of us are not in politics, so we can't relate to the rich people up there trying to become President. They are looking so silly arguing like school children arguing over a kickball that Obama looks smart by comparison (not saying if I'm a liberal or conservative, it makes no difference in this post). Most of us want a cool headed, smart person up there running our country. Anyone in politics is a smart person, regardless of if you like their policies or not. We're not in there, they are. Cool headed? Cain, Romney, and Perry, are showing no signs of cool headedness.
For the record, I did not get my new job by relying on any Republican or Democrat program to create the job. I used HARD WORK AND PERSISTANCE to SECURE my position. Whether I agree with the Occupy people or not is irrelevant, but maybe if they worked harder instead of going on a camping trip, they'd get more money.
One more thought and then everyone can bash me. I'm reminded of something my parents said to me when I was a dumb high school student arguing with them on a rule I didn't agree witn. "While under my roof, you live under my rules." It's very simple. If you don't like that Congress (not Obama, he's not a dictator, he needs majority vote to do anything) votes to put certain programs in effect, and you feel so strongly about it, either get into politics, or leave the country. Hell, if the people who think the country is turning Communist or Marxist or Nazi all left, that'd open up a lot of jobs wouldn't it?

When you see a question posed the same way you do it, it does look quite stupid.
Bill, I do not accept the premise of your questions. Get a clue, that is why I will never answer them.

Oh I'm not saying the wealth effect isn't in effect here, all I'm saying is it's tough to make money when you're out camping instead of working, and it's tough to find a job when you're not out looking for a job. I can't remember the survey, but it said that many of the protesters actually have jobs. I wonder if their bosses like the fact that they're putting more time into camping than working.
