Haha, yea, well the media and his admin. will blame it on someone else, they gotta make sure Obama don't look as stupid as he really is. It also amazes me that with all the storms and the loss of life in the midwest this week that the Obama's are still overseas....shouldn't they be cutting their visit short and come home and tend to the people in our own country? Or,why didn't they they send Biden? Oh wait,he's dumber than Obama, probably a good call on the White House's part there.Larry wrote:Not only did President Obama (as opposed to B. It was pretty funny, but nothing is funnier than watching GW dodge the shoes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duLds-TZMGw He has pretty good reflexes. At least we'll probably get some good Saturday Night Live skits out of it. For those that didn't see it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pNRXGRFJdDYonegunguitar wrote:Haha, yea, well the media and his admin. will blame it on someone else, they gotta make sure Obama don't look as stupid as he really is. When Birther-Joe tells me anything, we fact-check.undercoverjoe wrote:[When king liberal Johnny S. tells me I have no credibility, that is a huge badge of honor. Thank you. I know I am on the right track.
Johnny, when will you learn not to believe all the propaganda this white house feed you tools? You really believe everything that this government and administration feeds you? That is really scary, but not surprising.
Talk about hate.....the venom dripping when you talk about Rush, the wealthy, anyone still practicing Christianity, the tea party, corporations, Sarah Palin....you ought to bottle that poison. You are the last person on RP to lecture about hate.

BTW, I no longer hate the Tea Party. They won the NY-26 Medicare referendum for the opposing side, and will likely get Obama re-elected. An organization meant to divide and conquer the nation, divides and conquers the conservative vote. They only amount to a few percent, but usually, that's all you need to siphon off a slight majority. Here's my advice to the Tea Party: Keep up the good fight. Put people in the streets with poorly-made signs about ending Medicare, SocSec, and hell, throw in a few about keeping your assault-rifles and corporate tax-breaks. Wear lots of teabags on your tri-corner hats, people respect that. And please, please, PLEASE, by any means necessary, choose Sarah Palin or Michele Bachmann for your "candidate." I promise you, either one can easily win.

At least you can't call the Tea Party racist anymore. Herman Cain is their favorite for the Repub Nomination. Lets see your only source of information, MSNBC, deal with that one. lolsongsmith wrote:When Birther-Joe tells me anything, we fact-check.undercoverjoe wrote:[When king liberal Johnny S. tells me I have no credibility, that is a huge badge of honor. Palin won't run, she knows that she doesn't have a chance. And Bachman is a lost cause because she dubbed her self a Tea Party favorite. The Tea Party is going to have a lot to do with who gets elected. And you can bet to hell and back that they won't be voting for Obama.

Fact checking on liberal sources is rich. Gives us all a good laugh. Why do you keep referring Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann as "My" candidates. The only person I will vote for is Ron Paul, whether he runs as a Republican, Libertarian or Independent. If Ron dose not run, I might go towards Gary Johnson ("http://www.garyjohnson2012.com/record") He is the only politician on the national scene who follows the Constitution.songsmith wrote:When Birther-Joe tells me anything, we fact-check.undercoverjoe wrote:[When king liberal Johnny S. tells me I have no credibility, that is a huge badge of honor. No, they won't be voting for Obama. They'll be voting for various candidates, whomever makes them gushy at that time, BUT... not all for the mainstream candidate. They'll dilute their voting pool, and no one candidate will win. The people on the other side? They'll all be voting for the same guy.f.sciarrillo wrote:[At least you can't call the Tea Party racist anymore. Herman Cain is their favorite for the Repub Nomination. And running a black candidate doesn't mean you're not racist. Michael Steele was once a very popular figure in the GOP, and people on the right were still calling Obama "Hussein," and calling him Kenyan and Muslim.

There are two things that is going to make 2012 a bad year for Obama, The tea Party and Independent voters. We all know that the Tea Party won't be voting for him, and a large majority of the independent voters (Which are what got him elected in 2008) won't be voting for him either. If there is a good candidate for the repubs, you can pretty much say that Obama is toast. We will have to see what happens in the end. I just hope you aren't expecting miracles. I know I'm not.songsmith wrote:No, they won't be voting for Obama. They'll be voting for various candidates, whomever makes them gushy at that time, BUT... not all for the mainstream candidate. As far as being racist; there is a number of liberals who claim people to be racist just for not agreeing with Obama. Bill Mahor for example.

I don't think Obama was even born on Earth. More likely, he was planted here by an alien race. Can you prove this Kenyan birth Certificate is real? http://www.thepowerhour.com/news4/obama ... ficate.htm While we are fighting among ourselves, they are watching their plan unfold.undercoverjoe wrote:His name is Hussein and he is Kenyan. Oh, those bad non-liberals, what truths will they come up with next?

Don't have to prove anything about his Kenyan birth certificate, he is not president on Kenya genius. It would be nice to see an American president show a non forged birth certificate.Larry wrote:I don't think Obama was even born on Earth. More likely, he was planted here by an alien race. It is important if we want to make sure he's not an alien or alien hybrid bent on destroying humanity as we know it. Aren't there any other "Earthers" here on RP to help me out?undercoverjoe wrote:Don't have to prove anything about his Kenyan birth certificate, he is not president on Kenya genius. P.S. Why can't you have any fun debating without resorting to name calling? This isn't CafePharma. Many on RP know who you are, despite your screen name.

Did you vote for him twice?undercoverjoe wrote:Don't have to prove anything about his Kenyan birth certificate, he is not president on Kenya genius. Joe is a Libertarian and votes accordingly. He is somewhat consistent in his views.sstuckey wrote:

Although: He called Reagan the last real conservative Republican to run for president. Until I pointed out that Reagan raised taxes 12 times and doubled the national debt (not much compared to GHW and GW and Obama's spending to get out of the mess those three created with voodoo economics, but I digress). Then he claimed I was Reagan obsessed or something like that.
He also argued with me bitterly for the Patriot Act (I was and am against it) when Bush made it happen. The Patriot act is SO Anti Libertarian and is almost completely against the Bill of Rights. Liberterians are the ones who claim that only they know and understand the constitution. They just ignore Article 1 section 8.
Libertarianism runs parallel to fantasy land because their views are bizarre compared to the real world.
They would go back to segregation relative to the private sector. Everyone would be free to not hire according to race and every owner would be free to not allow patrons because of their race.
They are against any regulations. If I coal mine operator wants to run an unsafe mine, you are free to NOT work there (as an example).
No anti drug laws. If you or your kids want to get addicted to Heroine you are free to do so.
Every grandma and grandpa are free to pay their own doctor and hospital bills, no government help for anyone. Because they will have so much money because there are little to no taxes.
There will be no EPA so everyone will be free to NOT swim in the polluted water hole. You will also be free to not drink the polluted water.
You will be totally free to do as you want because you'll be rich because you pay very little taxes. Will inflation eat up that extra money ? I never got an answer about that.
What about the disabled ? Well everyone else will be so rich they will donate money to help the disabled. You are free to help them or you are free to do nothing to help them, but the federal government won't be involved.
The poor ? Get a job to survive or die. Everyone is free to take care of themselves.
Everyone is free and rich... That's the Libertarian fantasy in a NUT shell...

As for Joe and music. His history knowledge and his opinions are great ! Socially, I love to hang with the guy ! AND he overlooks my liberalisms.
It's all good, I was just curious. Most Bush haters.....voted Obama...and vice versa.Hawk wrote:Joe is a Libertarian and votes accordingly. He is somewhat consistent in his views.sstuckey wrote:

I'll probably get bashed for it but I kinda agree with a few of those things you mentioned above. But not really sure what category I fall under, since I agree and disagree with arguments from all politicians. The same politician may have this excellent plan for helping us get out of debt, but may also be the same politician that's taking a strong stand against me playing poker on a US based website. That's what makes it so difficult as there is no perfect politician.

You just have to remember that to a liberal, everything is Bush's fault. Included the rain storm we had last night. Also, to a liberal, Obama could never do any wrong. And to a Republican, obama is completely wrong and will never be good enough.sstuckey wrote:

Me, I am down the middle because I don't believe all of the BS, and there are things from both ends that I like. I also have "Adjusted opinions" about things. They all lie. You will never find an honest Politician. When it comes to voting, it is usually a vote for the one that is the least worse. Last election, i didn't vote either party; I did a write in.

OK well I thought Bush was an ass puppet. But I also think Obama isn't gettin it done either. I guess I'll just vote for whoever gives me my damn poker back!!! You want an economic stimulus plan that works? There it is. Tax my winnings....the same money I'll be using to buy food, rent, electricity etc, which will be recirculated back into the public. Whoever decided that me playing a game is wrong, and therefore illegal, is a MORON. Sometimes ole uncle Sam plays TOO much of a role in our daily lives. It still is life, liberty, and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS right?f.sciarrillo wrote:You just have to remember that to a liberal, everything is Bush's fault. Included the rain storm we had last night. Bill, most of the evils of libertarianism you twisted were exactly how this country was for about 150 years. If America was so evil for those 150 years, why did so many people see America as the land of opportunity and move here?
Bill, who took care of people before the socialistic nanny state? Someone did, there were not thousands of dead bodies in the streets of America. Who? How?
WE did. Americans. We helped out each other, whether it was family, or the local church or the local community, or the local YMCA, or CYC or any number of civic charities.
Libertarians want a much smaller government, meaning you will keep a lot more of your earnings. You will then be able to help people in your community, just like it happened for decade after decade, before the cradle to grave nanny state.
You see this as evil, others see it as a great thing, like America once was.

Great take on libertarianism, Hawk. Libertarianism basically installs each adherent as king of the cosmos. Each of them gets to lord over humanity as they see fit. You can tell if something's libertarian if they say, "if only everyone would do what I say, it would work perfectly." It's all about freedom... their freedom. You would be free to live as you wish... except you can't marry who you want, or make your own choice about your pregnancy, and you have to be practicing Christian, and you have to hand your paycheck over directly to Big Business, and you have to wear a flag pin at all times, and the most important rule of all is Libertarians have right of final approval on every aspect of your life. That's what "Liberty" is all about.
Libertarianism is a sick blend of Ayn Rand-ian egoism, abject discrimination, clinical narcissism, antisocial behavior, and self-righteousness. Reality is not only not a necessary ingredient, it's shunned.
Luckily, libertarianism comprises a very small percentage of voters. The vast majority of us realize we live in a society, and that society needs to be dealt with. Libertarians are not powerful, only loud. Their candidates seldom ever assume national office, nor even state, and hold mostly local office in small pockets of rural areas.
To the Obama re-election: One need only look at the current polls. 80% of Americans polled say not to touch Medicare. Recall elections are being organized to un-elect several folks attempting to scuttle it and SocSec. The bin Laden thing showed Obama's foreign-policy chops and Commander-In-Chief ability. Most importantly, there is nobody on the right that appeals to ENTIRE right, or at least enough of them to beat Obama. And I should also say: Whoever says independents wouldn't re-elect Obama over any of the would-be rightwingers isn't telling the truth. Who would they vote for instead? A moderate right candidate? There aren't any. The right NEEDS their candidates to be whacko, nobody is fringe enough now, let alone at voting time. Again, that line of reasoning is brought to you by a rightwing media that needs you to not be defeated and demoralized. By Rush (ratings down 33%). By Hannity (ratings down 28%). By Palin (series not renewed). By Beck (ratings down 50+%, series not renewed). By Election 2012, many of these and other conservative media outlets will simply go out of style. Then what?

What exactly is the problem with wanting to be master of your own domain? If you aren't hurting anyone else in the process I'm all for it!! Isn't it human instinct to want to do what you want, when you want? I guess I take the Dennis Leary stance.....if I want to sit in my house naked, covered in green jello, eating cheetos, smokin a cigaratte, drinking a beer, while playing online poker.....and none of that effects anyone but myself....why shouldn't I be allowed to do so?!! It's my life....my choice...and again I'm affecting no one but myself!! If that's what libertarianism is....then the hell with it I'm a frikkin libertarian. Because no one should have the authority to tell me what I'm doing is wrong, if in my mind it's right.songsmith wrote:Great take on libertarianism, Hawk.
