I don't think he's running the country into the ground at all. I think he got handed a turd sandwich, and is doing his best to clean it up with no help from his political enemies. How that translates into thinking he walks on water, I don't know. I think that's called "argumentum ad absurdum." In fact, the only people I hear calling Obama the Messiah are right-wingers. It was an early tactic of the attack machine, to delegitimize him. I heard he was inexperienced, then a Washington insider. I heard he was a minion of Rev Wright, then a Muslim. I heard he wasn't really black, and that he wasn't really an American. I heard that he wasn't enough like George Bush, then too much like him. I heard reason, after reason, after reason why he's the worst president ever, but I look at the way it was vs. the way it is. Lower taxes. Troops coming home. Bin Laden dead. Stock Market humming along. Jobs being created, instead of lost. Car industry saved. Highways being repaired. Tea Party losing steam. Birthers finished.
Now, if we could get Big Business in check, and maybe have them pay their share, I'd be a real fan, but one guy didn't create that problem, and one guy won't solve it.
