I would say to just go ahead and buy it. :D

I mean, really, this company does have the three easy payment plan. You could have it by monday for like $250.

Just sayin'.... :)

That is true, although I don't do credit. So I will probably just pay cash for it :)

Gee Frank, ain't that green one still hanging around the "Leeper" family. Maybe Norman or Jimmy.

It ain't in "black" but here's the closest thing I've got.

The green one was sold to my uncle Norman by my dad. Norman then gave it to his son, who sold it. I could shoot him for it. I was talking to my dad about it today. He told me that he wished he still had it ..

I always thought the superaxe my dad has was black, till he told me today that it was dark translucent green that looked black when the light hit it a certain way.

That one you have there, Andy, is really cool. I was over at Rainbow music today looking at a 6120. It was a nice guitar, but cost too much. I like the 5120, I can't wait to get it ...

I learned to play on my dads Chet Atkins model from the late 60's or early 70's about 18 years ago he said I could have it. I lived in a little apartment , didn't have much room and it would not have fit with the band I was in at the time so I told him to keep it and I'd get it someday. The dumbass sold it to someone for $700 bucks and though he got a great deal  It was in perfect shape !!!!!!! I think the reissues are going for about $3000 !!!!!!!!
Guess I shoulda snagged it when I had the chance.
Don't bitch to me about the economy while you're still buying Chinese products.

I know what you mean, Tony. The super axe (Roy clark model) my dad had is going for about the same price now. When I get this one, I am not going to part with it for anything ..

Mines a "64" Double Anniversary but it was totally "Bastardized" through the years. Notice that the color in the photo above is "Gretsch" orange. The "Anni's" only came in smoked green and sunburst and the "zero" nut was removed and replaced with a brass bridge. The pick-ups was Carvins when I got it so I replaced them with Gretsch Filtertrons. I couldn't get the correct Hi/Lo trons at the time but the filtertrons work fine. The Bigsby is all original and works perfectly.

Now that you mention that, I do see that is different than the original. It still looks cool, though ..

Our guitar player used to have a Gretsch Rally like this one. He wishes he still had it.
