For breaded you can't beat the Tremont in the west end. For hot wings I like the Orchard and the Phoenix.

RDs for some delicious multi flavored wings, but as for just hot wings, Fattys Pub. im not sure if they still make them though. i think that damn cigarette law might have hurt their food business.

i need to quit reading these post this late they only make me hungry. :(

TK's on Lloyd St. has the best hot wings. Simple, yet tasty sauce. Large parts and the beer is just an ar's length away. And WTF? I thought Red Bull gave you wings. I stopped drinking it when I realized I still had to buy my own. :x

Ok...I'm going to blow my own horn here....but the alley popper goes through more wings in our area each week than anyone else according to our providers...must be good. Of course, we have them at $3.99 a doz with a purchase of a drink (eat in only) on Thursdays and Sundays. Mild Ranch is far the favorite but there are many flavors to choose from.

Al's Tavern or Nardo's Cafe in Altoona, they are crispy and saucy. I don't llike the skin on my wings to be rubbery. yuk.

Still Pelly's (original recipe hot), after all these years...

Honorable mentions: The Knickerbocker, The Belmar and Al's Tavern in Altoona, and Denny's Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, where I'm overdue for a road trip...

but they aren't around anymore. The Knick has
good wings. Not too spict but they're not too bad.

If you go to The Phoenix in Johnstown, you can order wings that are not on the menu that are breaded and dipped in butter and garlic. They are great.

As far as the biggest wings around. The Haven in Johnstown has huge breaded double wings that are delicious.

Every time I'm in town, I make a trip to Al's for the Buffalo Garlic Wings, heat level 2. My wife then always complains after I eat all that garlic.

For those who make wings on the grill...
1. Sprinkle wings with seasoned salt and put on the grill
2. Meanwhile, make a packet of McCormick (or other brand) chicken gravy then add a tablespoon of garlic and basil seasoning and a half tablespoon sweet or hot pepper seasoning to the gravy.
3. When wings are 3/4 done, start coating them with gravy mix and keep turning until slightly browned. Delicious.

If you like a tangier wing, Melt a 1/3 cup butter and add Frank's Hot Sauce to personal taste. Make the same way but substitute this mix for gravy. Grill till slightly brown.

I'm making some tonight. :D

there was a place in pittsburgh right down from 3 rivers stadium that we always used to go to before games, i can't remember the name and i know it was tore down to make way for the new stadiums, but they made a wing called "ass on fire" and the name held true. real good taste, but it burned you later.

the orchards are good. i like the ones called "pray for rain"
co-brah's are also good. the "dabbers" almost killed me.
pj's in cresson makes some good wings. i grew up with their breaded wings.
but i gotta agree with jp hands down. Pelly's wings rule!!!!
you can prick your fingure, but never fingure your.............get your mind outta the gutter.
