I just saw this today.

If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?

Yes - staying home playing video games being a deadbeat instead of working is bad.
Why the emphasis on mix-raced babies? Sounds racist to me.

You know what? Everytime someone uses statistics, you have no clue where that info came from. I see shit with my own eyes.

Thomas Jefferson: “A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.”
Pour me another one, cause I'll never find the silver lining in this cloud.

See Rob, you and I agree 100% on this point!

Also, what the hell is wrong with staying at home and playing video games? I promise I won't make "Mixed race" babies? Was that you who said that John? For shame!

This was just sent to me by a registered nurse.

Now, let me get this straight...

We're trying to pass a health care plan:

written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it,

passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it,

to be signed by a president who also hasn't read it (and who smokes),

with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes,

with all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese,

and the whole thing to be financed by a country that's broke.

What could possibly go wrong????

I was speaking for the whacko's, like Rush. And why not mixed-race? Got a problem with that? :D
No, I have no racial issues, my friend. I have zero problem with any mix of anybody's race, but it shocks certain conservatives here, and I find that amusing. I was stereotyping the stereotypers, who all think that everybody who gets any govt help at all is a wastoid drain on society. Everybody, and I mean everybody, needs help at some point... including the people who now hate the government because they're being TOLD to hate the government.
I really, really dislike that the dregs abuse the system, and I think every effort should be made to stop it. BUT... I can't see penalizing the people who really need it, or eliminating that system altogether. It just isn't going to happen, even though it's a popular topic come election-time.
With the recent media push riling the natives against any social program, there seem to be some raw nerves here! I'm just pointing out that the righties can't really claim any compassion, religious or otherwise. You did notice the conservative line of thought here seems to be to ignore how many people need help, and focus on the few bad apples? Seems counterproductive to me.
Anyone who knows me knows I'm not a racist. But videogamers? I say send 'em back where they came from! --->JMS

More god like powers proclaimed by our very own god o spin. He can look into millions of people's hearts and just say they have no compassion. Amazing hootzspa! Are you also going to decree that they will not get to heaven, as you have already done to Glenn Beck recently?

I don't have to. Again, Joe, I'm simply relating biblical ideologies to the subject at hand. I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish by painting me as the expert on who gets into Heaven, I'm not the gatekeeper... God is, and He wrote it all down. You should read it, because right now, you're doing what wing-nuts do: clinging to a wrong idea because it suits your own biases. That's the last time I'll tell you that, because I like you, and don't want you to appear even more crazy. :D

Oh, it's "chutzpa." Used in a sentence:
"It takes a lot of chutzpa to call Jesus, the Pope, and all of Christendom 'Communist,', but it sure pays well." --->JMS

Because you post on here about who is not going to Heaven. I am only commenting on YOUR posts. You post that a whole segment of people of a certain political view have no compassion, without knowing anything about their personal lives. You are the one with the god complex.

Note to RPer's, just hope johnny does not pronounce your spiritual future with his god like insights.

Still can't wrap your mind around it Joe? Ask your pastor... oops, he's a Communist, can't talk to him.
And what do I need to know about conservative radicals' personal lives? They don't want to help the sick, the poor are just lazy, and they want to tell me what church to go to (or else I'm un-American).
I apologize to you, Joe, I thought you had the wherewithall to understand the difference between what I say, and what the Bible says, and how it relates to extremism like your own. I was terribly wrong about that, and I hope you can forgive me for forcing your tender mind into such spasms and contortions. Sit down, get a deep breath, and imagine a beautiful spring meadow. Feel the warm sunshine on your furrowed brow, note how the air is perfumed with wildflowers and moist earth. Now, consider the lilies of the field, they toil not, and yet...

Another failed attempt.

Just because some one does not want a government run solution to a problem, they do not want to help the sick????????

johnny, grow up.

Actually, the conservative point of view is identical to the neo-liberal point of view.

Conservatives believe that they should use their money as they see fit to support the charities of their choice.

Liberals also believe that they should use the conservatives' money as they see fit to support the charities of their choice.

Sort of makes you warm and fuzzy all over, doesn't it.
