Yeah, thats the point of this thread. I'm an animal abuse lover. I run the International Animal Abuse Fanatics in Dresses of Central Pennsylvania Foundation.

I've taken a few pics that I should see whether they'd be worthy of ICanHazCheezBurger.com . It's amazing what we capture in pictures and vids sometimes, by just harmlessly wandering over and seeing something hilarious, or being able to watch as the events unfold. And when we have a camera in hand to share such things with the world,... It's just that much more funny!

Deer Season Is "Family Tradition"

CARROLLTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- The first day of deer hunting season kicked off Monday with a damp and dreary start.

The cold and wet weather didn’t stop the Illig family from hitting the woods to ‘bag a buck.” This was the first hunting season where 12-year old Calem Illig was able kill a deer himself.

“I am really excited, I love hunting, just love it,” said Illig.

Calem trucked through the woods with his dad, uncle and grandpop, and by the end of the day Calem “bagged his first buck.”

Dick Illig, Calem’s uncle, says its great watching the new generation following in family tradition.

"In this day and age with all the cell phones and Ipods, its hard to get kids outside, but this, this is old fashion family fun."

just good ol family fun .hard to gets kids outside these days..

first of all you are not killing a deer "yourself", i'd like to see that! you have high-tech weaponry capable of target @200 yards! where is the thrill in that?

i just dont get it

Please don't be one of these anti-hunting nutbags, gosteelers...please. There are TOO MANY deer in this state...a larger kill ratio is in order here. I just lost a car to one of these F&%ing "cute creatures of the woods"...I want as many slaughtered as possible.
Kill em and grill em, that's all I ask....and send me some venison.

And to get back on track...LOL cats are the best!! A guaranteed smile for the darkest of days.....

and back offtrack (hah), i dunno where youre at RF, but here in the martinsburg area, theres definately not 'too many', there really hasnt been alot of deer here for years. This was actually the first time my family noticed any crop damage at all for years, and it was really small...

My father and brother spent the day on the mountain behind the house, only heard a few shots way out in the distance.

I just beg to differ. I remember years ago when there were tons of deer. The population in our area has had a definate decrease in population. It kinda sucks.

I'm definately not anti-hunting, so dont read that from this...

i am antianimal abuse but you are probably right that hunting does serve the purpose of reducing the deer pop to a safer level.

but what's your argument for the squirrel pop, or the bunny pop? what threat to our safety do they pose?

ps i love cats and dogs

I agree with Buck. Kill all of those forest rats! I don't like hittin em in my car and I sure as hell don't want to hit any on my bike. No other species needs them to survive, so I say, let the hunters go wild. Kill Em All, you might say.
