waffle's are ready

Post by tornandfrayed »

I have to say one more thing, no really, I promise!

Bush keeps harping on Kerry and "waffling". I have come to understand that this is GWB's way of saying "I can't believe this guy learned something that pursuaded him to change his mind.

I understand now that GWB and most of his supporters never change their mind because they all apparently stopped learning right after High School.

I like to think that as we grow we learn and as we learn we change our opinions on somethings. I have. I mean I don't think I will ever go from being "Pro Choice" to "No Choice"(prolife) but there are some things that I learn that change my opinion.

As far as Kerry being Rich well I guess GWB isn't. Kerry owns 1 house that he had to mortgage for his campaign. The pre nuptual agreement that he has with his wife confirms that.

In GWB's not ever Waffling ( changing his mind, learning, whatever ) he gets to stand there and never admit that he made a mistake or a bad decision or just outright lied to get more money for his buddies. He should be impeached for lying to the American people. But the psycho's that went after Clinton seem to like GWB, I am sure that $$$ has nothing to do with it. Saudi money none the less! Ido seem to see many radicals on the Republican side of the fence though.

I know that this argument is worthless because as much as I believe one truth many people believe another truth. Am I right? Heck I don't know, the facts seem to point different ways depending on how you read them.

I do have faith that America will regain it's position. As do I have faith that people will get along.

A True Report

Post by CHICKSINGA »

We went to a Bush Cheney Support Rally tonight and an officer that had just been in Iraq for 12 months was one of the featured speakers. He verified that the liberal media has spun so many things out of control and that what is being represented is, for the most part, false. He said that the Iraqis are grateful to be part of growing democracy, women are being treated with respect and equality, the schools and hospitals are functioning, electricity has been implemented and restored and every day the troops are thanked for what they have done.
I've talked to soldiers who have views supporting and against the war. For the most part I believe that those who join the armed forces realize that war and/or service is a very real possibility at any time. And while it is a tragedy each time we lose a soldier it is a step against terrorism and the evil that wiped out over 3000 American lives on September 11th.
I heard a Kerry commercial this morning on the way to work that stated "we will kill terrorists". It was a blunt statement, and exactly what Bush has said the whole time. If this is the wrong war and the wrong time, done the wrong way, tell me, what does "we will kill terrorists", mean?
Kerry will say anything to get into the White House. And you can bet he will do anything he wants to keep his Hollywood Support System happy, promises or no.

I'm sure I'll get a post that says I'm naive and partisan - so I urge you to read an article from The Seattle-Post Intelligencer written by KARL ZINSMEISTER, a reporter who has spent moths in Iraq combat zones, on Oct. 5th 2004

I have heard the same from several friends that have been there.

Huh?

Post by tornandfrayed »

I find it hard to believe that you believe that liberals believe that Saddam Hussein was some type of humanitarian! I mean go to war with the North Koreans! I always hear that the Iraqis are greatful! Well no shit!

That isn't the point! They did not attack us! There are many countries out there that commit atrocities on a daily basis! Should we go attack all of them?

It is bizarre that it always gets "Spun" out of control, the issue is that the government lied to build support for a war on a country that had nothing to do with 9/11 and then just continued to lie! I mean come on so Bin Laden is hiding somewhere, does that mean that he does not need to be punished?

The North Koreans are about to send a nuke up our ass! What about them?

By the way my 14 old son thinks that maybe we should attack Cuba too! He is sure that the people there would be very grateful! And China! And also it might have been nice to stop apartheid, those poor bastards would have been grateful!

Go to Amnesty international's webpage and check out the atrocities! Then maybe we can work on a hitlist for the next regime! I mean if you are going to save the world then we should not just stop with the country where the rich can make the most money. But I do agree that the people of Iraq are grateful! But I also see that GWB has lied about eveything! Then he smirks at you and you think he is what? Manly? A funkin arrogant prick? What is it about someone who screws you and the world regularly that turns you on?

I would never insinuate that anyone here is naive, but I might go so far as to say that some people could be blinded by there commitment to a "Republican" versus "Democrat" terminology.

I agree

Post by Imgrimm01 »

Torn there is prob. no one on this site that would agree with you more BUT what I can tell you is this " You are wasting your time " I spent months talking facts about these issues on here only to be personally attacked and to hear answers to questions I never ask and no REAL answers. I vote for the candidate who's record seems to support what I believe in, and I can tell you that sometimes that means I vote for a republican and do I mind ? NO ! " Best man for the job ! But these Die hard conservatives would bvote for " W " if he came out and said he believed in every American molesting a child as long as it was in the name of " stopping Terror " so it's like talking to your dog he looks at you like he understands and he may even tilt his head to show he hears the sound you're making BUT is he really understanding? Well of coarse not he can't he doesn't speak your language. And in this case the language is " REASON " ! Torn My suggestion is Vote Kerry next week and hope with all your being that enough people have seen through the lies to get the job done and if not well get a good grip on your ankles and look toward 2008. Kerry / Edwards 04.

okay, let's try something different.

Torn, Stonekrow, MadHatter, etc.

If you were given the oppurtunity today to be the president and have all the power and resources available to you, what would you do to fight terrorism? (Not, what you would do differently than Bush or what you wouldn't do) What actions would you take to fight terrorism?

I would really like to hear how you guys would handle the situation and what you project would happen because of your decisions.

answer

Post by Imgrimm01 »

I will answer that. I would FIRST --> Hunt and kill the terrorists , The real ones that is, Not a made up one who made fun of my daddy before.
SECOND--> Focus American forces in the areas that are a REAL threat to this country, to protect us from real dangers, NOT spread them so thin that God forbid a REAL attack happen we have no one to defend us. That would be an amazing start.

First I'd probably have to apologize to the rest of the world for W's mistakes and try to rebuild friendly relations and work together with other countries to find terrorists and deal with them. Not blow up counties, work WITH them to find terorist. Focus a lot more on HOME land securities. If we're everywhere else burning bridges, wouldn't that leave us more vulnerable for attacks? I think so.

The rich are rich and don't need any more help with Bush's tax cuts for the , who was that again, oh yeah the RICH.

That question really is just irrelevant. I don't want to be the president, I never would. It would be a tough job with a lot of responsibilities and the man to hold that position should be prepared to protect our country and our people and also be prepared to admit their mistakes if need be. Bush is not the man for that job.

Yes...Rumor has it that they intend to conquer the world by cornering the KETCHUP MARKET. Meanwhile, to the south, the Mexicans are quietly taking over the last bastions of PICKLES. Dijon mustard has already fallen prey to those sniveling french. Yes, that means HONEY-DIJON as well. Its a worldwide conspiracy, and they are winning...they already have taken 32 of the 57 VARIETIES.

I suppose Pittsburgh isn't good enough for condiment production anymore. I don't know, you'll have to ask Theresa why they pulled out. I'll bet it was those pesky union workers always wanting more of this or that. Or, maybe it was all those PA taxes didn't sit well. Or, maybe, moving to Massachusetts had something to do with it.

I suppose we'll never know for sure, but condiments aren't what they used to be.

Can't ya detect biting sarcasm when ya sees it? That was my impression of Theresa's attitudes as plurality shareholder of you-know-who. Isn't it ironic that 80% of union workers will support Kerry despite the fact that his gravy train is one of the biggest exporters of jobs?

Here's some more sarcasm. I suppose its OK to export jobs as long as:

1. You are part of the establishment that is actually doing the job exporting.

and

2. You can get your phony, goldigging husband to divert the blame to somebody who had nothing to do with that job exporting.

Hey guys!! Good answers to my question - you all pretty much agreed that you would hunt down and kill the terrorists. I think Lonewolf (above) took what would have been the 2nd part of my question from me. Where would you start to hunt?

Terrorists all don't belong to one country or area. They are everywhere. So, where do you start? I believe you start with people and countries that are financing the terrorists. That is what Bush did. And in doing so he also unseated a man who can be strongly compared to Hitler. (Yeah, you know the mass graves of his people that he killed with chemical weapons - the ones that everyone now doubts ever existed.)

I'm not trying to be a smartass, because I did try to put myself into your shoes as to your beliefs and then instead of thinking of the problem (i.e., Bush), I tried to think of a solution. Basically, I couldn't come up with one any better than you guys - I would want to go out and hunt down and kill the terrorists. But how?? Where to start??

MadHatter: if you want me to, I'll reply to the Tax Cuts for the rich - let me know. I will only say this for now. I got a tax break, it helped, and I am anything but rich!!!!

Lonewolf and Chicksinga - See ya Friday!!!!
