You heard of Billy Mays? He's my bitch.

Hell I taught the word 'cool' everything it knows...

;)

Some people just don't post on political threads anymore, I'm just going to pollute them with so much un-seriousness that it just might lighten the mood a smidge 8)

I always see your side of things too; I see quite clearly why people dislike Obama. I'm not holding a grudge or singling out or cyber-stalking anyone or their ideas. I just really do like the game and love playing the opposition.

But the real question(s) I have for you: Are you willing to give him (Barry HUSSEIN Obama ;) ) a real chance?

If this economy and war could have been fixed in under 100-odd days, don't you think Bush would have done it so the Republicanese would have got more time to sit on the throne?

If it could be fixed by one person, who is basically a 'leader' to millions, don't you think *insert your favorite media-head here* would have done it already? That would be better than any form of advertising, Billy Mays excluded of course. Just think how big their fan base (and ratings) would be if they solved the global crisis we have now?

I just hope you see things kinda like I do, in the wider scope that is. All states are red afterall, least when you look through red source-four gels.

Edit: I wonder how ticked off the taliban would get if we edited all their releases, videos, and audio tapes, and replaced "the Prophet Muhammad" with "Billy Mays"... (Peace and praise be with him)

Mmmmm... just an observation.... but if you scroll down, no one mentions politics before or after this comment till YOUR next post.....

Verrrry Interesting... Self Fulfilling Prophecy ? Hidden Agenda?? Political OCD???

And the most important question.... Does this make you a "flametard" or the next person to comment back in a political manner?

Just curious... I'm bored at work can't you tell??

Of course I will give him a chance, he is our President. I would support the President if it was king kong. Things just get frustrating when it seems to be going down instead of up. I do read both sides before I make a final conclusion. I don't really support either part .. Go Ron Paul :)

Is that the "If a cat gets a lit M-80 shoved up it's ass, and no ones there to hear it does the cats ass still burn?

After 9 years of college I get all those experiments jumbled up....

I do know exactly where to get a cheap beer at any given weekday anywhere in the State College area..!!!

*Also rule of thumb for comedy..... If you need to look up the obscure reference on which the joke hinges on Wikipedia.... Then it's probably not that funny...

*I support comedy FOR the masses*

I'm Donnie Smith and I approve this sarcasm....

I'm really glad to see the RPers are making an attempt to get back to normal. Seriously. All that lovey dovey, sugar coated shit was making me sick.

No, that reason would be the last idiot Prez.

For the last time:
Obama wasn't elected because of a media conspiracy. Obama wasn't elected because of voter ignorance. Obama wasn't elected because Republican candidates weren't conservative enough.
Obama was elected because a majority of people agreed that the far right wing of the Republican party hadn't accomplished anything positive in 8 years of trying. Lefties had little trouble convincing moderates that out-of-control wingnuts should no longer be in charge, a legally-binding public election was held, and became a referendum against authoritarian conservatism. Nearly every politician who stood with the Bush Admin was defeated. If you held the elections today, the result would be the same.

This is true, however you have to agree that the media did help out Obama. Now things are getting worse, and people are getting pissed off. They thought the Bush administration spent too much. Well holy fuck, when are the dem's gonna stop? Not even a year in office and that's all he's done. What took Bush 8 years, Obama did it in a few months. No real answers to anything, just spend spend spend. It's fucking ridiculous that both parties took us to where we are. We need to get conservative on spending before the dollar becomes the peso.

I truly don't think the media at large has given the current president any more of a pass than they did the last one. When the Iraq Debacle was in it's formational stages, anyone who doubted it was branded a traitor by the Neo media, so even though there was no evidence of WMD's and the world disagreed with the buildup, we all put yellow ribbon magnets on our cars and the so-called Mainstream Media kept their collective mouth shut. It was only later, when it became painfully obvious, that the media showed the truth.
Any bad press Bush got was because he had effectively eliminated checks and balances in his first term, and the freedom of press was the only limit on his administration's secrecy and power. He could tap phones, but he couldn't stop a free press... America's founders foresaw the need to keep control of speech out of the hands of one branch of gov't. Of course, total ineptness didn't help him much either.
As for spending, if Bush had spent such money in 2003 (like say, on Iraq) he'd have been The New Reagan, and been a hero. Heck he spent over half a trillion on it, and NO criticism at all from the Tea(r) Party crowd.
Incidentally, Fox News and conservative radio are "The Media" too. Media is anything other than me talking to you face to face.--->JMS
