I watched Game 6 at Galactic Ice on the outside widescreen TV. The energy was great, and the fans were feeling it!

The season now comes down to 60 minutes.

The Pens have now surpassed what they did last season by taking Detroit to a seventh game.

The Pens haven't fared well in Detroit. But it's one game, and at this point, they have nothing to lose and all to gain. I think the pressure falls back on the Red Wings; they're defending, and everyone had them taking it in 6 games tonight. If the Pens go on the attack like they did tonight, and avoid the stupid penalties, maybe we'll see the start of a new Pittsburgh dynasty Friday night. If the score is tied or close going into the 3rd period, look for all hell to break loose!

GO PENS!

I'm not sure how that arrangement works with NBC, but Galactic Ice wasn't charging admission this year (unlike last year). You could just bring a lawn chair in and sit to watch the game on the widescreen. There was some food and soft drinks on sale, but folks had the option of bringing their own stuff if they wanted. They were also selling 50-50 tickets for the local youth ice hockey organization.

NBC has exclusive rights to broadcast the games in the U.S. They pulled the plug on the big screen viewing party outside mellon arena in pittsburgh, and in detroit. Its been a big deal among the fanbases.

It sucks that NBC is pulling this crap,it's been a huge boost over here for the fanbase.
When you watched the VS broadcast they totally focused on the crowd outside the arena. There were thousands strong and no problems.
But sadly NBC wants to make money instead of selling the NHL to the casual fan.
But I blame Gary Bettman for jumping into bed with NBC.
I think VS. has done a decent job with their coverage, but VS. doesn't get the whole market across the country.

The Penguins fan base just keeps growing, they are loved here almost as much as the Steelers,ALMOST.
I have been a Pens fan for a long time and this group of guys are special,we have a great thing going and it's just getting better.
It's Lemieux,Jagr,Francis,Coffey,Murphy,Ulfie,Errey,Bourque,Barrasso,Stevens and Tocchet all over again.(Over exaggerate I know.)

All I can say now is, "LET'S GO PENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WINGS have out scored Pens 11-2 on home ice. There is NO WAY they are going to lose with the crowd and those stats behind them. Fluery is going to get flustered again and BAM.....WINGS WIN AGAIN!!!!

There is no way I'm gonna enjoy watching this game. I just don't have the blind confidence some of you have. But, I will be watching and swearing and yelling at the tv all the way.

I agree with you. Unless the Pens get up big and early it's going to be tough to watch. But after seeing them loose at home last year, I can handle a loss. Last year I knew they weren't going to win. This year I knwo they can and I'll take that....

We do not hate the Pens, we are just fans of another team besides the state we live in. I happened to have lived near Detroit for almost 10 years. It seems acceptable that others can like other football or baseball teams, but I have never been treated so poorly by fans like the Pens fans. I am almost 5' 1" and have been mocked and sworn at while wearing my Wings jersey...I know, I know, what do I expect when I live in Pennsylvania...but for pity sake, it's only a game and life will go on for me as well as any other normal fan on Saturday. If the Pens can beat the Wings on home ice, then they deserve to win...

I couldn't agree more, LDG. I grew up in Ann Arbor, and have been a Red Wings/Tigers/Michigan Wolverine fan all my life. I have become a die-hard Steelers fan, and root for the Pens (when they are not playing the Red Wings), and also Penn State (when they are not playing Michigan.). Heck, I took so much grief this year when Michigan finally got their long-awaited asswhooping at the hands of the Nittany Lions, LOL. But I took it all in stride, since it was 10 years in the making.

But I cannot, EVER, root for the Pirates. Ever.

Case of cans is fine, kevin

On another note, i seen about 10 penalties that didnt get called, and about the same amount of offsides that didnt get called.

Congrats, Pens fans. Your team outplayed the Wings, although tonight, that wasn't hard to do. Detroit played 1 of the most uninspired games I've ever seen them play. No fire, no desperation, and they got steamrolled. I do hope Sid is okay, but lifting the Cup seems to make injuries better somehow, LOL. I'll PM you to arrange terms os surrender, Colton. Again, congrats, Pens. You earned that one.
