I'll be there. South Saturn Delta is playing; they're excellent, and nice folks off stage, too!

Thanks Jim. I will definitely make the Randy Jackson show. Those guys blew me away last year. What talented musicians, all from this area.

The Blue Number Nine is more funk than jazz IMO, but still a good show. Do you know the other bands?

South Saturn Delta is from southern New Jersey, and does a blend of swamp blues, New Orleans-styled funk and jazz. Their website: www.southsaturndelta.com

Euphoria is local, and features some members of the Holy Smoke Blues Band, along with former Swinghounds Dana and Art Martino. They mix up blues and classic rock. Their Myspace website: http://www.myspace.com/euphoriaweb

Tommy Wareham & the Intrigues is from State College. Tommy Wareham has been playing for years; they mix up jazz, early rock/pop and soul. More info: http://www.statecollege.com/tommy/

Jazz In Your Face is a multi-piece group from Johnstown, and features a few members from Flood City Brass, along with young jazz piano prodigy Billy Test. According to their website, www.jazzinyourface.com, they'll be performing as a sextet for the Altoona show.

Randy Jackson is one not to miss. I have seen them everytime time they play downtown. They are the best for Jazz and improv around Altoona.

we would like to hear the live jazz but the stench of cooking carrion is sooo bad down there it makes us ill! it is awful they have to pollute the air with the order of necrophilia (love of death) at a jazz concert which is all about biophilia (love of life).

This thread just turned me vegan. Thank you. I'm also one witty post away from believing in God too, btw.
