Now this is cool as shit man! It is a limited run, and it is selling for around $5,000 which is way out of my reach, but I would like to plug into one and try it out sometime.
And no, this is not the source of the nasally tones we hear on 'Blizzard of Ozz', and 'Diary of a Madman', But more like his live rig as heard on Ozzy's 'Tribute to Randy Rhoads' album.
From what I gather, Marshall have received special permission from Delores Rhoads to analyze Rhoads' original Marshall 1959 Plexi head in order to produce a very close copy to the original head.
Normally I don't care for sig models, especially after what Dean is doin with the 300 'Dimebag' models that they have been producing, mainly because they are selling based on a name.
But this head has been a long time coming and it will be in limited production. The only real draw back to achieving Rhoads' tone is that the cabinet doesn't have Altec speakers, but I guess the ones used are extremely close to them.
If I had the money to blow on this I would definitely buy one just to have it, and then I'd have Jackson build me a lefty RR loaded with a Duncan Distortion and a Jazz, then I'd be set.

Oh well, we all can dream can't we?
