I think she is 16? It's nothing. It happens every day.

It has nothing to do with the election at all.

Obama already blew it off - as he should.

Even Obama has asked his followers and his campaign not to go into the life of the politicians' children. I respect a man who can respect this privacy. Those who want to put out trash regarding this issue is trash.

She can't even manage her daughter on how to not get pregnant twice before she turns 17... How can we expect her to be a good VP?

I heard that Bristol Palin's vagina has legally been classified as a clown car.

Wonder... I wonder what members of KISS, Insane Clown Posse, Marilyn Manson, King Diamond, etc... could fit into that clown car?

I have to mention Sarah Palin looks like Tina Fey from Saturday Night Live. Not that they won't get blasted on the show regardless. Is Tim Meadows still on SNL, if so... he would be a good Obama.

she is 17 and this is her first - she is going to marry the guy. It is nothing new. This area has/had a lot of girls who got pregnant when they were 17 or younger. Most of them; the father left and the mother had/has to fend for her/them selves. So no one should be judging or talking about it .. Heck, I know girls from this area who had three or more kids by the time they were 21 - Some of them to all different guys. So this is minor compaired to the base of trash they have around here. Not saying that every girls in this area is trash, but, you get my point, I think ?

I dunno, if any political party is going to preach morality and suggest that the other party is immoral by comparison, then this should be a big deal. I mean, the Oval Office hummer was brought up already in this thread, so I say let's talk about Gov. Palin's morality and her ability to "govern" her own household.

If a blowjob is relevant, than so is this.

I think its going too far when the folks say that her mom couldn't control the child, how would she control the country....

We've had other 'first' children in the white house who during that time there caused a lot of issues. They are human. Their parents are human.

Some say that Gov. Palin has too much on her plate...yes, she has a lot on her plate. But don't we all? Seems to me she handles a lot very well and has a great team to support her.

At this point, her selection has not affected my voting decision....I'm still focusing on the Presidential candidates and not their running mates.

Exactly, and I think this choice (among many other things) calls McCain's judgment in to question.

Let's be honest, there were many other better, more experienced choices for veep. This was strictly an attempt to sway Hillary Dems. I don't think it will work. A week later, I still haven't heard of this chick.

Oh wait, she was in the PTA, too? That ices it. Forget McCain. Palin for prez.

Thats the biggest rerason any candidate chooses a running mate. To pull votes they wouldn't normally get.

Obama did it and so did Mccain.

I think it was a smart move. If you think it's gonna sway all of Hillary's supporters you're wrong. Some will, however vote just so there is a Vagina in power.

Just like some old white guys will vote Obama, because the VP is a respectable Old white guy.

well that, and the fact that Joe Biden actually has some experience, and knows what he's talking about, and lets his actions speak louder than words. Biden was the perfect pick, he brings in spades all those things that the GOP said Obama lacked...but i degress, the dems could have nominated me to run for president and 65% of america would vote for me purely because i'm NOT a republican...

I think Palin should leave the race, but not for the reasons you'd think. Remove all the politics from this... She has a special-needs kid, a 5-month-old, and now her oldest is pregnant. To put her family through the most contentious election ever right now... is simply selfish. It's not fair to the teen, or the baby, or the Down Syndrome little guy. Or America... politics has to draw blood to get noticed anymore, and I don't want to hurt little kids... nor should Palin get a pass because she has these particular kids.
The Republican Party supposedly stands on family values. This mother chooses politics over family, and shouldn't be congratulated or emulated. The timing couldn't be worse. Republicans should be worried about this, the backlash could be an election-ender. Go ahead and get another woman, or another hardline conservative, I don't care, but don't throw your kids under the bus for a political position.
Even if you ignored the ethics violations, earmarks hypocrisy and lack of experience, Sarah Palin is the worst possible choice I could think of. I would have rather had McCain's prior choices, either Lieberman (I like him, he's a renegade) or Ridge (he was an excellent governor). The whole situation brings to mind the question, who would you rather be veep, the best person for the job, or the one who can get your team the most votes? Such is the reality of American politics, the imperfection of democracy.------>JMS

First off...let's clarify...she does not have a 5 month old AND a down's baby...they are one in the same. She has a 5 month old that has down's.

Secondly, I think you would offend many of us who are working mothers. I work. I volunteered for many social groups. At one point in my life, I didn't even have a spouse to turn to while raising my children on my own. There is nothing out there that says that a woman can not do it all and not be able to handle it.

Thirdly, how is she throwing her children under some sort of bus any more so than any other politician who runs for office? She's not throwing her children on that bus...the media and idiots who post stupid blogs, pictures, etc regarding this private family matter are the ones that are throwing her children under the bus. Even Obama said that the families should be kept out of this.

This does not affect her ability to serve in any capacity. She can still have a family and have a good quality of family time with her children and husband while serving. What makes her any more different than any other VP or President who has children no matter what their gender or role may be.

You are idiots if you think this lessens her ability.

Teens get pregnant. It doesn't matter if the parents are bad or good parents. It happens. Its stupid for anyone to try to go behind some magical mirror and look at how this young lady was raised or what type of talks that her parents may have or may not have had with her.

I think back to when my son had his girlfriend pregnant..all the talks that went on between the families...she had a miscarriage. She was 17 he was 19. Looking back, I would not have done anything different. I would not have quit any of my jobs, or stopped taking classes so I could advance in my career, or serve in the volunteer positions that I served in. Because none of that would have made a difference.

Listen to Obama. Leave this topic out of the elections. It doesn't make her any less qualified.
