Drummers, Check this out

Post by HurricaneBob »

Jeff Kathan from Paul Rodgers Band let me sit on his kit and try out this amazing driver mounted under his throne. http://www.thebuttkicker.com/ 1000 watts of vibration goes through your body making you feel the music. It was incredible. Im just glad it didnt make me poop. :P

The ButtKicker Concert provides maximum low end isolation. Every player on stage, and every sound engineer can have just the right level of bass... without airborne sound waves. The ButtKicker isolates low end into a throne, platform or control room floor. This gives you much greater control of sound pressure levels. Bass players and drummers who want to feel a powerful kick drum, or low "C", no longer have to drive guitar players and singers nuts with volume. Engineers, you will benefit by being able to more accurately monitor mixes for all types of stage or studio sessions.

Bob, Harold just got one of these to use on his keyboard throne. Said it's pretty wild. I guess it gives him a kick in the arse :?

I've seen something similar in a Musician's Friend catalog for drummers wanting the full effects of the kick. From what I read about it, they originally designed it for the hearing impaired and deaf to actually feel the vibrations because they simply couldn't hear the sound.

I have also seen something similar to them in car stereo applications that mount under the passenger and driver's seats; I believe they were called Bass Shakers. All they required was +12 volts and a line input. I always wanted to install them and take my girlie for a ride. :o
