I personally, think that Corey Tayler has an awesome voice. It really shown through on Slipknot's latest album Vol. 3: The Subliminal Verses. Also, his singing on Stour Sour's self-titled album was fantastic. From the time when Wait and Bleed came out from their first major record label album, I knew he was hiding something.

Just my opinion.

Thijs Van Leer of Focus has an incredible voice with 5 octave range, but he didn't know english, so just about all he did was yodel and scat. Bummer. If you listen to "Mescaline" from the album "In and out of Focus" you'd understand....well, maybe not....

Definatley Kurt Cobain, Elvis Prestley comes to mind. As mentioned before, Chris Cornell, Robet Plant, and Maynard James Keenan, Lizzy Hale (Halestorm), Pete Loeffler, Jim Morrison, I agree with James Hetfield being a unique style. Janis Joplin as metnioned by somebody else. Singer from Incubus. Steven Tyler, Freddy Mercury, Elton John (and I am homophobic but we must submit to greatness). Well, there's a few for now.

Amy Lee

Of course I like a little more than her voice.

Most unique voices....

Brad Divens (Wrathchild/Souls At Zero)
Chris Cornell
The dude from Screamin' Cheetah Wheelies
"Criticize And Call Me Negative
But You Never Deal With Life Or Reality
I Separate Myself From The Rest
What The Fu*k Did You Expect ?"
