Hi I am looking for information on Martin acoustic electric guitars. Anyone have prepurchase advice recomendations ? This is a large purchase . I am leaning toward the aura 000c 16rgte.

if it is one of the composite material Martins I would avoid it......They are a price point seller....just like when you see a new car for $10,995 and your lucky if it comes with a radio........They don't sound bad, but...

That's the problem I am having deciding what I need and want. I like the idea of an onboard tuner but do I really need one??? There are different types of pick ups do I need the aura? I like the small body and the low Oval neck. What wood and finish has the best sound? I don't want the composit material. I have used my fender newporter since 1976. I really like it but it has no pick ups and limits me. Thanks Ron what Model and size do you have? What type of Amp do you use? I have a fender G-dec for my Strat's it's a good practice amp. I will need a little more power to play out. I will pass along the promo to Ed.Ronnyd wrote:Debbie, If you would like to play one you could try Mine!

If you are still looking go to the local shops and try a few, when I was shopping for one it was hard each one has its own flavor and feal. I went shopping for a martin and when I was done I came home with a gibson, I'm not saying the gibson is better, it is what I liked and when it came down to it I was stuck between the gibson I own now and a taylor I just got a better deal on the gibson.
My point is don't buy a acoustic on line
