I don't know eher you are geograhically located but here are some other ideas.

The Blue Knobs (I like this one)

The Altoona Blues Band

Mapleton Depot (I always thought that sounded like a band name)

some good ideas there. tuscan red is cool cuz i like the story behind it and i think thats neat. theres probobly 100's of bands named the hawks

i really like the idea of something about the railroad, we practice at robs house and he lives next to the tracks and we always here the whistle blow during practice and i've always thought we could incorporate that somehow into our name.

keep the names comming, this is fun. i've been thinking about names and kept thinking we have time but now all of a sudden we got some gigs comming up it looks like, and i got nothing

heres what we'll do: keep the names comming, we'll take a bunch and make a poll in the poll section and every one can vote on it and we'll see what happens.

In keeping with a blues and railroad theme, how about. That also ties in with the baseball team name.

Sounds like a Lind's Crossing blues band!

"Juniata Mud"

"The MudHawks" sorta sounds like an 'A' ball team though

Do you remember the Bachman Turner Overdrive (B.T.O.) tune, "Blue Collar"? Take a listen here.

I thought Mudhawks were the hefty white girls that hang out @ Classic Attitudes (The Island), with 2x too small clothing on.

Not to totally hijack the thread but why do "bigger girls" dress like this? I'm seriously wanting to know. Most people do have mirrors in their homes, right? Or at least a friend that should say, "Hey, that's too tight. Put on something that fits."

I have two theories:

1. Their friends probably say "Hey you look great in that."
So they will be the one who looks better.

2. Black dudes really do love some big white women.

I never saw so many great band names ! I figured a few  would put up a few stupid names, but these are good. Some 8) put up some cool names.

I called them today and told them we are called "The Hawks", (mjb's pick)(because I needed something fast) BUT WE'RE PROBABLY GOING TO PICK ONE OF THE NAMES FROM THIS THREAD for a permanent name.

THANKS

Bill, I think Hawk is an awsome name for a band, blues or otherwise. Kinda reminds me of Ronnie Hawkins, the Hawk, who used to have Roy Buchanan and Duane Allman play on his studio work.
