Whoa, kinda freaked me out to see my name on there, but it's a bit misguided. I can teach you everything I know about harmonica in 15 minutes. No, wait, 5 minutes. The other 10 minutes would be road stories. :)

Okay my list, and I'll stick to metal. If you want an all-time list, I'll post it:

Vocals: Rob Halford. THE metal voice.
Lead guitar: Tim Mann from Cumberland, MD. Best I ever worked with, and I've worked with some top-tier pickers.
Rhythm Guitar: Malcolm Young. Rhythm players are supposed to be almost transparent.
Bass: Ian Hill (I'm a new fan of Rocco from Tower of Power, I f***ing LOVE his drive, but this is metal.) Ian fleshes out the bottom end, no more, no less. I like his economy of notes.
Drums: Mark Morningstar. There are flashier drummers, but nobody's got a metronome in their head like Mark.

I already did that. The band consisted of KANSAS.

I hired them for a Memorial day show at Harvey's Lake in 1994.

Unfortunately, Kerry Livgren was not with them at the time.

Dream Bluegrass Band ...like you care, but here goes:

Upright bass -- Chris Lawson of the Marauders, but Mike Bubb (Alison Krauss) gets an honorable mention.
Guitar -- Cody Kilby
Mandolin -- Bill Monroe
Banjo -- Dave Asti (Hillbilly Gypsies)
Fiddle -- Owen Saunders (James King Band, Warrior River Boys)
Dobro -- Duane McCumbers (Buck & Co.), Bashful Brother Oswald, or Josh Greaves.

Please Note: I have a couple of pretty good bluegrass bands already, whom I would go see, even if I wasn't in those bands. They're pretty good. This is just daydreaming.---->JMS

Vocals - Spike Slawson of the Swingin' Utters
Bass - Fat Mike of NOFX
Guitar - Joey Cape of Lagwagon
Guitar - Chris Shiflett of The Foo Fighters (Formerly of No Use for a Name)
Drums - Dave Raun of Lagwagon

They could do all out of the ordinary covers and call themselves something like "Me First and the Gimme Gimmies". That would be pretty damn cool.

I've never heard a local player that could hold a candle to ol' Mann. Not even close, really.

I know I'm behind in the times... but here would be my dream band (for the moment)

Drums: Neil Peart
Guitar One: David Gilmour
Guitar Two: Jimmy Page
VOX: Maynard James Keenan
Bass: John Entwistle
Keyboard: Trent Reznor

I have a hard time believing most of these guys would work as a cohesive unit, but that's what makes this fun.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! How did I not see this before when it was originally posted?!?!

this is a good question though, I would have to say, band lineup would be

Lead vox : Brent Smith - Shinedown
Lead guitar : (You guessed it) Mark Tremonti - Alter Bridge
Rhythm guitar/Backup vocals : Chad Kroeger (lead singer/guitarist for nickelback)
Bass : Jason Newstead
Drums : Danny Donegan (Disturbed)

And this guy ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOyEw9bT8yQ ) on the hand-farts

I kinda want to make a Despised Icon style of band with two vocalists.

Drums ---- Neil Peart
Bass ---- Les Claypool
Guitar --- Fredrik Thordendal from Meshuggah
Guitar --- Jerry Cantrell
Vocals --- Chris Cornell
Vocals --- Byron Davis from God Forbid
Keyboards/Synth --- The Crystal Method

Is it legal for me to use them for Keyboards and Synth????
