A little update is in order.
Every Tuesday night from 8 to 10 PM, Harrisburg Broadcasting Network (www.hbnradio.org) airs the Musician Showcase, an internet radio program featuring two hours of music from local and indie artists from PA and beyond. Up until the end of last year, Sherri Mullen hosted the show. Starting this past January, Sherri handed the reins over to a new host, Tina Marie (half of the Harrisburg-based acoustic duo Deja Vudoo). Sherri is still involved with the show, and is executive director.
Another change that took place starting this year, the show is back to being live every week. (Sherri had been doing one live show a month, with the show re-airing the remaining Tuesdays each month.) Tina Marie hosts the show live each week, and also hosts a chatroom on the HBNradio site as well, so musicians can log in and chat with each other, Tina Marie and other visitors/listeners. It's a pretty cool set-up.
The show does still air music from our area. Area bands whose music has aired recently on the show include Felix & the Hurricanes, Fayted, Fat Vinny & the Wiseguys, The Grimm, Third Standard, Flord, Flight 19, The Nightcrawlers and numerous others. The Musician Showcase and "Backyard Rocker" network back and forth, I refer area bands to Sherri and Tina, and they send bands and music up this way.
You can still submit music for airplay on the program. Bands wishing to submit CD's can send them to Sherri, who will then forward them to Tina Marie. The mailing address is:
