Help! (Trussrod)

Post by riksylvania »

I have a fairly new Tele plus and the neck keeps shifting on me. Could this be a broken or stripped trussrod? The actions is perfect for the day that I set it, but next time it comes out of the case it's really high. I'm not a total whiz with guitar repair, but I don't want to take it into a shop if it's something I can fix myself. Thanks. -Rik

That sounds more like a neck joint problem. I had that problem with the 3-screw micro-tilt neck on my Starcaster. Check those neckplate screws, but don't go too tight!
