I love hockey, but I am on strike, since the players were assholes and wiped out last season. I won't watch, read about, or go to a game for this season. Fuck them.

Yeah, seems the pro hockey players are some of the greediest out there. Don't they strike one out of three seasons?

For me, it's too much hassle and time involved for the final score to be 1-0. FEED MY NEED FOR OFFENSE!!!

You'd be surprised. With this year's rule changes, the scores are higher than the years before.

... and if I did watch hockey, couldn't bring myself to root for the Flyers ... sorry, have relatives in Philly and that's all I hear about.

I'm not as passionate about hockey as I am about football, but I am a fan. Like my other professional sports interests, my hockey interests run black and gold. Go Pens! And please win a game already!

I'm probably going to see a Pens game in early December.

From what I've seen, it looks like tix are either mostly taken or pretty pricey. I was planning on going Dec. 3rd. Still might, just depends on the bankroll, and the band schedule.

Born and bread a hockey fan. I used to play for Indiana way back in the day before they actually had an ice rink. We used to practice at Mack Park and our home games were at the Kittanning ice rink. We traveled so much. Most of our game were at like 5:00 or 6:00 in the morning. It was one hell of a good time though. We got to play games at the old Penguin practice ice in Pittsburgh...all I can remember is that it was near some Hospital. Then, while at IUP, I played in a Frat league (wasn't in a Frat though). That when the injury happened. Really messed up my knee. Took about seven years off and then started back up this past winter in an adult league at Planet Ice. Well, the old injury resurfaced and became a recent injury. So now the skates, well at least the equipment is hung up for good. I'm fighting the "sale the equipment" idea. I feel if I do that then the fact that I will no longer play a day of hockey again is haunting me. That feeling isn't the best.

I have tickets to the Pens game on November 29...section C. Hopefully by then they are winning some games!

I used to love Hockey...I used to play Hockey! I can't walk and chew gum at the same time, but I CAN skate (and play guitar!). My mother lived in Montreal for 20 years, so maybe I'm an honorary Canadian!

one of the greatest experiences of my life was a saturday nite at Bell Centre in Montreal.. for a hockey fan, Montreal is heaven - to just walk through the city the afternoon before the game taking in the city was amazing - i dont remember much of the game tho (damn LaBatt) but Im planning a trip to Ottawa this winter to see my flyers in Ottawa.. i cant wait

I’m a HUGE hockey fan! Unfortunately, I moved to Ovechkin country somewhat recently. I’ve been able to see the boy play, and he’s DAMN good. Much better than any of the #1 picks that I remember in at least the last 7 years. Of course, longevity is the key.

I know that Crosby isn’t a hack, but it is a shame that the Pens didn’t get him!

Ovechkin is twice as good as Crosby is.. I guarantee you - at the end of the season Alex Ovechkin will have better numbers than Crosby, and it's not because the Pens suck - its because Ovechkin is a lot better than Crosby

The Johnstown Chiefs Games are a good time and a little closer than pittsburgh. And I think they play a little harder because they are trying to make a name for themselves so the can get into the pros. Last season we went down when the Hanson Brothers were there and had a very good time. They came out on the ice in the old chiefs uniforms and lumped up the refs and a couple guys from the other team then water skied on the back of the zamboni. That alone was worth the trip down.

No disagreement here!! He really is the focal point of the team right now with Bondra and Lang gone.

it really is sad though that both those supreme atheletes will spend the first few years of the career (Crosby will spend 10 yrs) in Hockey hell..which will really hurt them down the road..

Not that it matters - I still think the 5 best hockey players on earth are 1) Jarome Iginla (Canada) 2) Vincent LeCavalier (Canada) 3) Jaromir Jagr - when he plays well (Czech Republic) 4) Iylla Kovalchuk (Russia) 5) Rick Nash - dont laugh im serious (Canada)
