Not having much luck does this site really help?

Post by kraven »

Been looking for people to join the band that i am a part of. Me and another guy which both play guitar and we are looking for people to fill the void that we have in our band. We have gone thru many people in our band and i am hoping that this site will help. We need a drummer, bassists, and singer i am losing hope now. Is there anyone out there that can give me faith once again?

weve been trying to fill in the gaps forever. i just dont want to finish a record and not really have a full band. all the work is done at that point, then wed have to teach someone else parts that we wrote. it would be much better to have an independent bass player & singer that can do their stuff by themselves. i really dont want to be so limited, we need members. that doesnt stop us from writing and recording though.

This is true everytime we think we have the advantage and something is going good in our favor something always seems to happen to delay something. Every step forward we take is always followed with 5 steps back it seems but i am trying to keep faith in the music and i am not going anywhere.

I know how you feel Keith we have been through it all, we have been working on our band for a long time and everytime we feel like finally we have got all the missing pieces together they just fall apart again, I am really thinking about starting to play bass so we don't have the same problem anymore

You shouldn't have to do that and play bass you should just do what we are going to do. Go into the studio without a bass player. Have the guitarist go back and forth and bass lines for the songs. And when you play shows at the end announce that you are still looking for a bass player. The people that really like your music that are there listening will come forward and want to be apart of your music.

Stay patient and stick with it. I often speak with bands who have to search for quite a while to find that last piece to the puzzle; and the more specialized and focused your band is, the longer it might take to find that right person who is on the same wavelength of what you're trying to do. But when it does finally all come together and everybody is on the same page, it's worth it. Good luck in your search, and keep the faith.

Thanks for the words of inspiration! We really hope that it happens soon. We actually just got a phone number from Cyphin so I am going to call later today and hopefully this guy will be that piece of the puzzle we have been searching for for so long. Thanks again you guys have really helped us feel better about the situation. Kara
