Operation Mindcrime II Preview MP3s Available

Post by grimmbass »

All,

In an extremely cool move, Queensryche has posted "bootleg" live recordings of two tunes off of the upcoming "Mindcrime II" album. The tracks, "I'm American" and "Hostage" are available for free download at the official Queensryche Site:

http://www.queensryche.com/releases/ope ... index.html

The sound quality is pretty damned bad (tons of crowd noise, no low end sound), but it does offer a preview of what we can expect in '06. I'm hearing some hints of old 'ryche in there....here's hoping it lives up to expectations!

Kent,

I posted this on a another forum earlier: http://www.rockpage.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=6971

Nevertheless, I’m glad to see that you have great taste. If you search around, you’ll find some interesting articles on how the guys from the Ryche and the producer (the bass player from Third Eye Blind, oddly enough) were recovering OLD material and “burning the tape” so that it can be used on O:M II. I pray that this is as awesome as it should be, and that DeGarmo takes some time away from his busy schedule of flying planes to contribute in some way.

Are you all going to the show in Greensburg? In the local entertainment papers they're calling it "an evening with Queensryche" and they are showing the front cover of the Mind Crime album. I hear they are doing mostly older stuff. Should be a great show at a small venue.

Since it is on a Tuesday, I seriously doubt that I can make the huge trek from my undisclosed location. Maybe you could tell me about it?

Here's a tip, spend $25 to join the Queensryche Campaign (their web ring and fan club) and apply for Meet and Greet and/ or Backstage Passes. You may be suprised at your luck.
