~*~Run Reminder~*~

Post by esa »

ABATE's annual poker run is this Saturday, July 30th. This is the run we have yearly to benefit local children. This year is the Ertwine and Prye kids). I have all the details here in the Bennefits' section.

http://www.rockpage.net/phpbb2/viewtopi ... 2607#32607

Last year, I know quite a few of you wanted me to remind you about this years upcoming run/party...and I pm'd most of you about it but I know I forgot some people...forgive me!!! So...this is me trying to catch you guys in the General Discussion (cuz I know this is where everyone looks all the time). So...forgive me mentioning it here...I just couldn't remember everyone who asked for a reminder. Go to the link for all the info...
Hope to see you there!

(Amplified Heet and Beyond Reason are playing it...thanks guys! If you get the chance, come out and support these two awesome bands...or come to squeeze up on Dan...or put the make on Jules...or make fun of Jamie....or grab a beer with Tom...or....just come to see me. I'll be glad to see you!)

So, it's no one under 21 to the party but are kids allowed to go on the poker run itself? I know it says that the stops are at bars but most bars allow children in with their parents untill about 9:30 at night. Are they allowed to go with us? Are they allowed to participate in the poker playing? Do they just have to stay out on the bike while we do the poker playing part? Do they get a discount for being on the run then if they aren't allowed in the bars or aren't allowed to play the poker part? Do they even have to pay if they aren't doing the poker playing? Do we still have to pay if we just want to do the run with you guys but not play poker or go to the party?

Sorry a lot of question I know. I have several friends that saw your poster hanging up and since most of them have kids I wanted to know if they were allowed up to a certain point before the party or not allowed at all. That way we know if we need to get some sitters for a few hours or not.

Thanks.
Alterego's and peanut butter & jelly sandwhiches. The two most twisted things out there.

Here's the deal. We won't stop anyone from riding their kids along, but they cannot play poker. They cannot draw cards. They cannot do that part.
But, if you want them for the run. Sure. We cannot stop you from bringing a kid. You don't have to pay for the kid to be on the run (they aren't 21 so they aren't "officially" on the run.) However, if you wish to make a donation on behalf of your kid, that's fine! We'll take your money, lol.

Regaurdless, they aren't allowed in at the end party. That is strictly 21 years and older due to adult content (it's a Biker party for goodness sake!) and because there will be Adult Beverages there.

This would make a great Rock Page bullshit session. Anyone gonna' come up? I know a few of us wanted to get together but missed the float trip...and there was talk of a possible barbeque...but with summer dwindling...this is a good chance for us all to get together.

Another cool thing about this too is... Channel 10 News is going to be following us from stop to stop. They're very interested in the one kid we're doing this for... So come get your musical mugs on tv! (and come support a good cause, lol)

Hey! Come on up when you're done doing security! We deny no man entrance to our parties!
Actually, the underagers, we do... but.. If you don't think you're going to get up there till late, it's okay. We're still letting people in at 2 or 3 in the morning (Alot of people say...but that's way late and why bother? But we have some members that are also bar tenders who can't get off work till that time. So....) So.... if you wanna, come on out anyways. And make sure you say who you are if you come!
Lol. I could make up, "Hello, my handle is '_____' and it's great to meet you" name tags...

Get it? Handle? At a biker party! For our names (handles) on rock page?! Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Oh God, I need to lay off the coffee beans and take a nap....
