I was curious, and went to their website to look at the specs. It looks like, on paper anyway, these things are super-efficient in the 40hz thru 200hz sub region: 102db at 1w/1m +-5db.
From 50hz to 160hz its something like 103db at 1w/1m +-3db.
They are rated at 300W rms, 600W peak. If eq'ed flat and properly crossed over and powered, that translates into and average 126db with 129db peaks from 40hz-200hz! Put 2 side by side and it goes up to 132db and 135db. Huh? Nady?
I might just write this off as false specs, but they show a full 20-20K response curve and list its sensitivity at 90db 1w/1m +-10db from 20hz-400hz, which checks out.
From the reviews I've read, about half of the built-in passive crossovers either fell apart or went up in flames, but when the crossovers were removed and the cabs used in an active setup, they work OK.
At 57 lbs. and $140 + $20 shipping at Musicians friend, it might be worth a look.

I've never had good experiences with Nady equipment, Jeff. It might be worth maybe making a roadie to Guitar Center or something where you can demo them before making the investment. I would be curious to find out a report on them, though, if you do make that trip. G&J is looking to buy some speakers, maybe a full PA setup, and I was kind of curious about those subs, along with some Peavey gear that we had been checking out.
Dood...
Used the Nady monitors and some of their other speakers and they were trash. I wouldn't waste the $$ on them as the speakers themselves were cheap junk that didn't even hold up using them at a lower volume for practice. The monitors were rated at 400 watts but seemed more like 50 watts. I knew someone that was selling them new and a horn loaded 12 rated at 400 watts also was blown with a 200 watt powered head running a cd player at about 1/4 volume just for backround music in the store. Don't waste your money on them you will be sorry.
