Post by Bag »

James says he wanted a drummer who was LESS of a baby! Might take a second or two to "Load." Meet Metallica's new drummer!

Holly shit please tell me this is a joke. Im not much of a Metallica fan anymore do to there new music style or whatever you want to call it. But I thought James and Lars were best friends. What really brought that on.
Jame's is really tearing that band to shit. Metallica will be completely done before to long. Either that or their all just decide to go on their own. Sounds to me James must be hitting the bottle again. Where did you get this info. I really gotta no If this is true. Jason/CYPHIN

Yeah - I saw it.

I had no intention on seeing it, but the only reason I watched was to see the part with Mustane in it. Suffice it to say, that wasn't even satisfying. I wish that part was longer.

Another thing that pissed me off, was when MTV called them to do that Icon show. Their new bass player had no right to sit in that chair and act like he was the shit. If anything, it should have been Jason sitting in that chair. I could even have understood if the producer sat there. He was the one who played all the bass lines for St. Anger, not their current bass player.

Ooo, that pissed me off.

Agree, That part with mustain should have been longer. I also agree that the bass player shouldn't have been on Icon with them. He never even came in till the cd was done. Bob Rock played all the bass on the album.

It could be argued whether Rob should have sat in the chair for Icon or not, but he's more than paid his dues with Ozzy/Infectious Grooves/Suicial Tendencies. Plus he's one hell of a player to boot.

If I were to be indignant about anything, it would be over the shitty performances given by the artists paying tribue to Metallica. WTF was Avril Lavigne doing on there? The show also proved my theory that Limp Bizkit has some underrated musicianship, and Fred Durst is the douche that holds them back from actually shining.

Not only were the performers on the Icon show shitty but, Metallica's performance sucked. There was a point in Battery (the part they tried to play anyways) where Lars starts to lag and the whole thing sounds like shit.

And the new shit they did on that blew, mostly because all new Metallica blows though.

From what I've read, the thing with Mustaine was quite a bit longer, but they only used a very small portion of it.

No doubt. I mean, they filmed the whole session - but they only showed a little bit of it after it was all edited together.

I still say Megadeth is better than Metallica will ever be. No matter what Mustain thinks about the matter. Metallica are a bunch of sell out posers. Pre-And Justice For All was good, I marked "And Justice For All" as one of the worst albums ever lol. The black album was o.k., Load and Reload was just plain rediculous, and St. Anger isn't even worth mentioning .. My two cents anyhow ..

"A.P NEWS FLASH! Metallica's new baby drummer has been FIRED. James said, "we were going in different directions musically." Baby Timmy reportedly thought the band was "gonna rock" and was "disappointed" that the new album was going to be RAP cover tunes. Auditions for the drummer position are on-going. Anyone interested can mail in a video."

Here's my tape, let me know if you think I have a shot!
