So, I am considering buying a low-level electronic kit for playing small lower volume gigs, so that my level can be controlled by the soundman. I am looking at this HART Prodigy kit and they have a video of a guy going off on one.

I already have an Alesis DM5 (can't believe they are still going for $350 new)
I just thought I'd share the video and see if anyone else knows anything about this particular kit? Bad/good?

I didn't do it! It was the other guy! I Swear to God!!
You may want to check out my replies to a couple of other threads in here from a few months back. For live performance, Roland is a better choice because of their quick volume sliders. If you want your kick just a little bit louder during a show, on an Alesis module you'd have to scroll through menus to get to the volume for the kick. I bumped both threads up for you.

I have a dm pro and I think it's great. Although it doesn't have the volume sliders on it (like redawg mentioned) it has 6 outputs on it. You can split the kit into individual drums and regulate them individually from the board. Or you can say set the snare on one output all the toms on another and you kick on another and say some latin percussion or sound FX on another. And to change the volume of one by going scrolling through the menus, it only takes a mattter of seconds using the chase button (although it's not as easy as having a slider). I think there's room for about 13 inputs. It takes a little time getting to know the module but once you do it's relatively easy and they are not that expensive ( I paid about $350 on Ebay and it is like new). As far as triggers I use the high end ddrums (not the reddots) and I can't say enough about them. they're build very sturdy and they track great. Again you can usually get pretty good deals on Ebay.
