Will It Be A Grimm Spring?

Post by ImAGrimmette »

Ok guys! Haven't heard much here, except for Bob's political views. :? So the big question I have is "Where's the Grimm" :?: If I'm not mistake today is March 20th - known to most as the first day of Spring! Which means Winter is over! Which also means (if memory serves....) The Grimm should be ready to get back in action! And I must say I have been anxiously awaiting this!!!!!

So whats the deal? When can I (and everyone else) start marking dates on our calendars? Basically Where's The Grimm? Inquiring minds want to know.?.?.?

All My Best!
Love,
Grimmette Lisa :P

I find your lack of Grimm disturbing.

"I'm not dead....I feel....happy!"

It has indeed been a long winter, friends....and although we're not quite ready to unleash our new material on your unsuspecting ears, rest assured that the silence will soon come to an end. Dom, Bob, Scott, and I have been spending many hours working on new material....reinventing a band with an 8-year history is no small task, and we want to make sure that the result justifies the wait.

The skinny: We've got four new tunes in the works and a whole pile of riffs ready to be put into action. The sound has the underlying element of Grimm, but is drastically different than anything we've ever written. More grooves. More dynamics. So far, the lyrics are ANGRY!

The phat: We're working on revising our cover list....and we're looking to our friends and fans for suggestions! What tunes by other artists should the Grimm butcher live? Post on this thread and let us know.

The time: We're not ready to post a specific date for a return, but there's a great little club in the Altoona region that we're particularly fond of....I can't see us staging a return anywhere else!

It makes us all very happy to see that our presence is missed....hope to see you soon on a stage near you! And remember....we want to hear what cover songs you want to hear!

Mad love to all,
Kent, Bass, The Grimm

Oh man, it would be the shiznitz if you guys did a tune by Muse.

BTW, I'm ordering a SansAmp tomorrow; thanks for the awesome recommendation, Kent!

I know I wouldn't mind hearing a few of these...

Mudvayne - -1
Tool - The Grudge
Suicidal Tendencies - Send Me Your Money
The Murderdolls - Die My Bride
Spineshank - Violent Mood Swings
and anything from Killswitch Engage would be awesome!

I'm not familiar with this "Grimm" you speak of... OK kidding.. I am itching to get back and see you all and believe me I will ! As Kent said we are writing and playing regularly and like fine wine to be released too soon would only sour the reward.. There will be surprises and believe me it is worth the wait! I am thrilled at the direction we are going in and i feel sure you all will be too, so please sit tight and we will see you soon!
I'm glad I didn't have to fight in a war, I'm glad I didn't get killed or kill somebody, I hope my kids enjoy the same lack of manhood

If I were old enuff to see you guys play, I would shat a brick if I could hear Kent, Dom, and Scott do some Liquid Tension type stuff. I would also be blown away if you guys tried heavy versions of some Rush (kinda how Deadsy did w/ Tom Sawyer playing it down like 4 steps).

All kinetic, no potential.
