What can you tell me about the place? Gasoline Dion is playing there on March 12th (Thanks to Rockpage.net, I believe)... and I was wondering if any o' younz could share some of your thoughts about the venue, describe it, or provide any inside info.?

When I was in Martyrdom, we played there. They have a killer sound system, a backstage area, and the place is really nice.

And there is a bar right next door! (in case your thirsty)
My old band "At Hopes End" played there a while back. It is a medium sized room, with a stage in the corner. I hope your turnout is better than ours, as there were about 20 kids there. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the kind words

PunkinHead... Thanks for the Kind words about the studio. And sorry to hear you are on to other things...Loved the show that night.. The bands were all great. Let me know when you want to set something up with your new project. You are one of the few that play for the Music and not the Money.

As long as I have people who want to hear Live Music and Bands who work hard to get out and play and understand that it's not the money or the size of the crowd.

I will always give them a place to play..

Ha! 20 kids would be a great turnout in Pittsburgh anymore.

Yeah, unless you're at the Smiling Moose on a Wed., when the crowd's gonna be there whether you're there or not. :D

Chrome Cult... it's awesome to hear that you're all about the music. If I make up some flyers, can someone up in that area post 'em in the right places for us?

I checked out the Ironboss website, and I really dig their mp3's. I think we'll be a great match with them. I'm looking forward to this show.

SeVeR played the chrome cult studios last night (2-12), was a cool place and a fun show. It's one of the few places around that accually has not only a stage (not just a 6" step up off the floor), but also a backstage area. I thought the stage was a nice size, unless your a slipknot wanna be band with 15 people running around, there is plenty of room. They had some equipment burn up on them earlier in the week so there were no stage monitors (shit happens, and that shit aint cheap to replace...totally understandable) but other than that the sound was great. The crowd could've been bigger, but the kids that were there seemed to realy apriciat the music, and had a pretty bad ass pit going at times. I'd like to see the place getting packed, not only for when we play there but all the time. It's a cool place with a cool owner, and I'd like to see it do well. It's nice to see a place that wants to support origanal music.

I was very pleased with our show last night at Chrome Cult Studios! They have a great stage setup, and the backstage area is really cool. I was more than happy with the turnout, about 30+. Pretty good considering it being our first time playing there. The sound was good and the owner is very cool. The big ass pit was awesome, the crowd and the owners made us feel at home. I would recommend this place to any band looking for a new venue. We are really looking forward to playing there again soon!

Guys, Thanks for the support and It was an Awesome show last Night..
The Pit was great. I will get you guys back ASAP.

The more support we get from the local musicians,
the original music scene will get bigger.

So, lets get the word out and support all Original music.

Why don't you guys try doing multiple band shows ? if you're not already. i think for a situation like this 2 or 3 bands on the bill would be the ticket.

I think they're doing that.

We're on the bill with Ironboss in March.

I just hope a local band is on, or someone can promote locally... as we're from the 'Burgh, and Ironboss hails from Baltimore.

I dunno how to promote from a distance. Hopefully, some of you rockpagers will be out to say hello.

6 is too much?

Post by ChromeCultStudios »

Dude, 6 bucks.. to much.. people pay 9.50 to see a movie for an hour and half. We put on a show for 3 hours. I would like to see bands get paid. I don't sell beer, So I do need to cover cost of the place. Help build the scene not tear it down... Another question.. Do you play covers or Originals?

Thanks Gary

If the weather cooperates on March 12, I'll make the trip up to check it out. I'm curious about Chrome Cult, and also curious to see Gasoline Dion.
