Well it’s a new year. More importantly, last year is gone.
In about October of last year, our Bass Guitar player Gerry Stanek told us that he would be retiring from Homer’s Army – Rock Musicians at the end of the year.
Gerry has had a stellar professional career playing with the likes of “The Impostors”, “Norm Nardini”. “Outcry”, “The Lost”, and “Homer’s Army”.
Luckily, when we put out the call for candidates to fill the position of “Keeper of the Fundamental” (Bass Player), Tony from “Never Enough” turned us on to an exceptional individual. Here is his bio:
Mike Griffiths {AKA} GRIFF
Bass guitar, Vocals
Started playing at age 7, (26 years experience)
Rank in Homer’s Army – Major Pain
Performed in: The Northern Cambria HS Jazz Band, The Now & Then band, Impact, Ruckus, Buzz Munkys
Influences:
AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Ted Nugent, Waylon Jennings, Jethro Tull, Black Sabbath, and many more.
Mike played his last gig with the “Buzz Munkys” on New Year’s Eve. He has been rehearsing with us for several months and has played a few gigs with us already. Now he is on full time Active Duty with “Homer’s Army”. Mike is another product of the Northern Cambria County phenomena.
We already have many new and exciting opportunities lined up for this year, and we expect to take this band to the “next level” with Mike’s help.
A-Ten-Hutt!!
Please join us in welcoming Mike (Griff) Griffiths to “Homer’s Army – Rock Musicians”!!
Signing Off......

Even if it is "members only" I'm sure we could get you in as a 'guest'.
