Possibly heading back to Key West. ;)

I got a call this morning from Irish Kevin in Key West and one of his normal guys shattered his shoulder. If all goes well, on Saturday I might be on a plane heading back down to play for a few weeks. I know this is a short notice and have been on the phone all afternoon trying to make the arrangements for it. If I go, I won't be back until December 9th at the latest. I'll know tomorrow afternoon what's going on.

For now, I'm just going down for a few weeks. I should be back on the 9th of December. I'll know for sure tomorrow whether I'm going or not. Wish me luck.

Cool Man...Give me a call when your in Broward County or the Ft. Lauderdale Area. Maybe stop for a beer or so. Also if you need a place to crash in this area on your trip, let me know, the doors always open for fellow Pennsylvanian's.

The company I work for also owns the Scooter Rental place right on Roosevelt, so I could probably get you a hook up. Scooters + Key West = Good times.

Anyway, keep me posted, I'll try to rally up the PA boys in the area again for another trip down!

Well, I just made all the arrangements in the past two days to be able to go. All I have to do is make flight arrangments, which I priced yesterday and about passed out. If all goes well, I'm going to try and leave on Sunday. I have one question for everyone. Anyone have any ideas about how I should ship or take my guitar with me? I don't want anything to happen to it on the plane.

They let me take mine every time I come home. It's my carry on, or they'll check it at the boarding gate instead of the rest of the luggage, that way it's waiting as soon as you get off the plane.

I put two fragile stickers on the case,
Packed it in t-shirts before putting it in my case....

Don't put your extra strings in your case...security doesn't like that!

Hey my boss was on an internet site earlier today and saw US air fights to Ft Lauderdale for 83 bucks round trip. He booked one for the weekend.
I know its not Key west, But I think he said there where others (areas) as well?

Also, try USA 3000, they do pittsburgh to Ft. Lauderdale pretty cheap. My roommate uses them.

If you fly in on a monday or tuesday, I'll drive your ass to Key West. It's not THAT bad of a drive.....hmmmm........Last Chance Saloon, Cuban/American Cantina, Hog Heaven, Holiday Isle, Lori Lei, Safari Lounge.......

John, gotta make sure you get to see Big Dick and the Extendors when they play down there. Hilarious!

onetoloud, yeah , I know your boss and if anyone could find a cheap flight to Florida, it would be him. Sometimes I wish he'd get a one way flight!

Well, it's definite. Monday morning at 6am, I'll be on a flight to the Keys. I have another question for everyone. I need to find a music store open tomorrow, so I can get a box to put my guitar case in. Anyone know of any?

Well its 3:45 so time is running out but I believe Music Emporium is open sundays, along with Ford Music in the Altoona Mall and Keyboard world in The Johnstown Galleria

Hey all, I just wanted to let you know everything is awsome down here. The flight in really sucked because of the wind. I still have no idea how we landed safe. Anyways, this week has been pretty rough. I just finished up with day 3 of playing 4 hour shows without breaks. I have tomorrow and Friday to go and I get 2 days off to recover. The crowds here have been awsome and tomorrow will be my first evening gig. What's great is I'm making in tips what I made in wages back at home. I really think the PA bands need to come down here and experience this area. Well, I gotta get rolling. I just wanted to say hey to everyone. Hope all is well back home.
