I was looking through the new Metal Sludge website this morning and came across a portion of their site called Exposed. I was looking at some of the bands there and noticed Poison was on there. Since they originated in PA, I figured I'd check and see if they had any flier pics from this area or if they played Altoona as Paris before they went to Cali. So my question here is for JP. Would you happen to know who wrote this article? I was just curious if it was anyone working for the Musician currently.

I'm not sure who actually wrote it, as that issue of the magazine was several years before I started writing for them. But I emailed Robin at the magazine with your question and the link, and I'll have an answer soon. I suspect it was probably one of the magazine's former writers, possibly "Metal Mike" or "Sally Vicious."

Robin told me she wasn't certain; she said that back at that point, a lot of the bands had their own people write about them, or Whitey Noll wrote about them.

That's cool. I was just wondering. It was cool to see some of the bands represented on the cover, most notably Kix, Harpo, and Hybrid Ice. Also Bret Michaels and Rikki Rockett's previous band Spectres as well.
