We lost another friend, area musician and member of the Rockpage community, as Dave Moses - "tornandfrayed" on Rockpage - passed away last Sunday (August 20). Dave had suffered a heart attack a few days before, and complications from that were a factor in his death.
Dave fronted the area metal bands One Gun Salute and Frayed in the late 1990s and early 2000s. He more recently was an acoustic performer, and frequently played at D'Ottavio's Gran Sasso in Hollidaysburg. He did some theatre, playing the role of "Uncle Ernie" in P&J Productions' presentation of the Who's rock opera "Tommy" last October at the Mishler Theatre. He also ran his own technology business, Dave Moses Technology Services. And Dave was the father of Chelsea and Stevie Moses, and I got to witness him as a proud dad when they put together their youth rock band EVK. Dave was also one of the most upbeat people I ever met; he saw the silver lining in everything, and always presented a positive outlook. Dave will be missed.
